I have over 600 albums on my device with more than 6500 tracks. Creating (very) large playlists is a breeze and will not lock your device.

Latest New features:
V30
Some bug fixes relating to the date stamping option.
Added further functionality to allow copying of the smb playlist to a specified folder.
Code enhancements when generating playlists
V29
fixed bugs relating to smb share playlists
v28
Redesigned the way in which tracks are selected when generating randomly selected playlists to ensure the tracks are not selected again.

v27
update the IDV3_2_3 POPM Popularimeter tag
Especially for all Poweramp users worried about losing their track ratings and tired of waiting for the next release of Poweramp, the latest development has introduced the update the IDV3_2_3 POPM (Popularimeter) tag of mp3 tracks on the playlist. A simple click will update the IDV3 tag with "Rating" and "Times Played", as set in Poweramp, on the actual mp3 track. Even when migrating to another device, you will not lose these settings!!. It is the hope that when Poweramp releases its next version, it will use this tag too which means you are all set when you migrate.

copy or move playlist tracks to folders

FLAC compatible

Import foreign Playlists such as I-Tunes etc. No need to worry about location of tracks as this app will sort it out.

To get the maximum from this app, ensure that all your mp3 tags are suitably completed.

Comprehensive support is provided on:
http://www.playlistmanager.webspace.virginmedia.com/npm

Another special feature is the ability to create your playlists automatically. It will select the music for you!!!
Create playlists based on music folders, genre, composer, year, decade, artist, album, recently added or create your own selections/combination using the custom builder.
Manage your tracks by listening to a track and if you do not like it, delete it there and then.
For those wanting to use their playlists on other devices or with other android music players, this app allows export of m3u playlists both in Unix or Windows Format.

If you have Poweramp installed, this app will offer tags such as "Rating" and "Times Played" so you can create native android playlists from these too.
