Releasing updates every 8 days on average. Last update 4 days ago.
We fixed some bugs, tuned things up, and made your app run a little smoother. Because like this week’s update notes, progress isn’t always flashy—but it should always feel good.
Has anyone actually ever finished a lip balm before losing it? Somehow they always disappear in various jackets or bag pockets, but the other day I actually managed to finish one! What a small, glorious sense of accomplishment from such a simple action. Something else that generates the same thrill? Keeping your Chime app updated with all the bug fixes and performance updates. So until you find all your long lost lip balms—just do that. Albeit with chapped lips.
It’s that time of year again. No, not that college basketball thing. The one that’s less fun. Daylight Savings time. We can’t get your lost hour back, but we can make sure your Chime app runs smoother than your sleep schedule. Bug fixes? Check. Performance boosts? You got it. So even if you’re running on one less hour of sleep, your money’s still right on time. Now go grab a coffee because something tells me you’re going to need an extra “spring” in your step while springing forward this year.
Still winter. Almost spring. Feels like both. One day you’re bundled up in a parka, the next you’re in a t-shirt (and then quickly re-bundled up in a parka again shortly after). But hey, change is in the air—just like this app update. We’ve made some behind-the-scenes bug fixes and performance enhancements to keep things running smoothly and predictable. Like that one friend who wears shorts no matter what the weather’s doing. Because every friend group has one.
Tax season is here, and whether you’re the type to file early or the last possible second, Chime’s got you. So while you’re gathering W-2s, searching “do I really need to report this?”, and hoping for a solid refund, we’ve been making sure your Chime app is running as smoothly as an un-audited return. So go forth and file with confidence. May your refund be big, your stress level be small, and your Chime app be weekly updated. Consider the last part to be like a year-long spring cleaning thing.
Winter is here, and just like that one friend who wears shorts in 30-degree weather, Chime stays cool and collected no matter what. We kicked some bugs to the curb (where they promptly slipped on ice) and made your app faster than your tongue freezing to a flagpole. So whether you're hibernating under five blankets or running to the snow-covered hills, Chime’s got you covered: no frostbite, no fees, just financial progress. Now go forth and winter responsibly.
Not all relationships are built to last. Like the one with your old traditional bank account. Or that situationship from Brooklyn, I think his name was like, Leaf or something? He had all those roommates where you couldn’t figure out the kind of relationship they all had with each other? But with Chime, there’s no ambiguity. Like this week’s update. Just performance upgrades and a few bugs are now gone. No, not like the ones that were in Leaf’s apartment. Those aren’t going anywhere.
February: the shortest month, the longest vibes. Groundhog saw its shadow? More winter. Valentine’s Day? More chocolate. Leap year? More…day. And while February keeps things unpredictable, one thing stays the same—your weekly app updates. So whether you’re bracing for six more weeks of cold, swiping left on love, or enjoying your extra 24 hours, update your app for bug fixes and performance enhancements. Because some things should always be reliable.
Change is hard. Unless change means updating your Chime app. Because this update gets rid of bugs and glitches. Our engineers are so smart they turned change into something awesome. Not even your therapist can do that. So go ahead and accept some change. Smash that update button. Hashtag growth, am I right?
We talk a lot about progress here at Chime, but what does it mean? Building your credit score to get a better interest rate on a car loan? That’s progress. Updating your app to the latest bug fixes and performance enhancements? That’s progress. Listening to Pink Floyd’s Dark Side Of The Moon album? That’s prog-rock. Learning money moves from the song “Money” on that same album? You better believe that’s progress.
It’s the new year! So as you’re rushing to the gym with the mob of resolutioners (respectfully), make sure you don’t forget about the other part of your life that could also use an update. That’s right—your Chime app. Tap Update for the first new version of the year and get in on these 2025 bug fixes and performance updates. You know, while you’re waiting in the seasonally long line to use the weight bench.
Owning a pet is crazy because every once in a while it’ll start acting funny and the cure will either be a $2,000 surgery or it just needs to go #2—and you just gotta guess which one you’re dealing with. Lucky for you, these app updates are more predictable. Just banger performance updates and bug fixes on the weekly from the #1 Most Loved Banking App. And the occasional writeup about pets possibly having to go to the bathroom.
Call us purists, but we’d never use these app updates to plug something other than our great weekly performance boosts and bug fixes. No way. We'd never use it to say how we have this super cool place on the internet called Chime’s In The Green, that puts you in-the-know about all things money, with helpful tips, free budget calculators, and financial knowledge basics that anyone can use. Nope, none of that. Just pure, unadulterated app update hype. As it should be.
Sometimes I ask myself: “Why am I a Chime member?”, and a bunch of reasons cross my mind. No hidden fees. The community aspect (Boost for Boost, anyone?). And of course, these weekly bug fixes and performance updates. Oh, can’t forget about automatic savings! wish I could auto-save some snacks for later instead of eating them all at once. Then I could really start talking about stacking my chips. Until that feature is out, I’ll just be stacking, you know…my chips. (The non-crunchy kind).

Everyone knows about Self-Care Sundays, but why stop there? You should try making self care an everyday thing. How about Fab Feet Fridays? A Lot of people neglect their feet—guys, I’m looking at you. Get a pedicure and thank me later. Or Sheet Washin’ Wednesdays? We all know the saying “clean sheets, clear minds, can’t lose.” And the most important—Tune-up Tuesdays: where you smash that Chime app update button. Because a smooth-running app is like self-care for your cash.
Some holiday themes make sense—like thanksgiving and the turkey. Others, well, don’t. Like the Easter Bunny. It’s almost like the Easter Bunny was created simply to tie-in chocolate to an otherwise chocolateless holiday, so whatever Chocolate Cartel thought that up: thank you. You know what else DOES makes sense? Downloading this week’s app update, jam-packed with performance updates and routine bug bashes. It’s like your weekly sense-making holiday from us to you. Chocolate not included.
It’s almost that time—to do our duty and cast aside our differences, channel our inner moral compass, and make a selection. That’s right, we’re talking halloween candy. Are you part of the “hand out candy I hate so I’m not tempted” party?” Do you side with those who suggest one candy per visitor or allow handfuls to be scooped? Where on the aisle do you sit with teenagers who don’t dress up… are they candy-worthy? Thankfully, you don’t have to decide on one thing: what app to update today. Because all that’s in this bag is fixes and performance updates, no tricks here.
What do we want? Bug fixes and performance upgrades! When do we want them? Weekly! We heard the chanting mob (that 100% definitely exists) and we’re delivering the goods. Because at Chime, there are no down days—only updates. Get it? Update, like when you update your—never mind. Update your app to get the latest bug fixes and performance enhancements. I’ll go back to the writer’s room and come up with better jokes next week that may or may not include a reference to the Tesla robot.
Who made up the name “Tyrannosaurus Rex”? I’m no dino doctor, but I assume someone just looked at one and said “Oh yeah, this is giving strong T-Rex vibes. No, I will not elaborate” Def not our approach at Chime. Our names are helpful, not confusing. Pay Anyone lets you do just that, SpotMe spots you, etc. And when you update your app, you’ll get bug fixes and performance upgrades. Makes sense, right? Not like that dinosaur name. Everyone knows it’s a “Smol-arm chompy chomp long-tail boi”.
Breathe in. Visualize this upcoming holiday season. Breathe out. For once, imagine it goes just like you hoped. Breathe in. Not too stressful, not too many unexpected expenses, no big worries. Breathe out. A holiday season where things go your way. Breathe in. You update your Chime app, there are new bug fixes and performance updates. Breathe out. Everyone you love is healthy and safe. Breathe in. Manifest it. Claim it. And breathe out.
Things that will happen when you update your Chime app this week: app runs faster with performance updates and more securely with bug fixes. Things that won’t happen by updating: App explodes, it rains doughnuts, your dog stands up on its hind legs and tells you an ominous date in the future in perfect english and then goes back to sleep as if nothing happened. Does October 22nd 2028 mean anything to anyone? Asking for a friend.
OK look—you want bug fixes and performance upgrades. We have bug fixes and performance upgrades. Let’s make a deal. Update your app, and we’ll give you what you want. We’ll also throw in a little financial progress as a treat. Just smash that update button. Or tap. Why do people say “smash”? You can achieve the same result with a gentle tap, right? Unless you like that sort of thing. I mean, we really like smashing bugs. I guess there’s really no wrong way here. Smash away.
Happy *Girl New Year*. Girl New Year is basically back to school season when the leaves start falling, the air starts getting crispy, and it’s time to buy new fall outfits. Maybe some fresh pens. Some cute erasers. Girl New Year means deleting all the old apps you’re not using from your phone, and updating your Chime app with the latest bug fixes and performance updates. All that’s missing is a pumpkin spice latte, and you’re ready. Happy GNY!
Things that are thawing out of their respective ice blocks in preparation for the cold season ahead: tiny knit beanies that guys wear just above their ears. Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Mariah Carey. Things that don’t need to thaw out because they’re always in-season: your fav pair of all-white sneakers. Beyonce. These weekly app updates and performance enhancements. Because knowing the classics are important. Ok Mariah, you’re a classic too. Get on over here, grab a PSL, and get your thaw on.
Demure and mindful. Aura points. brat. Only yesterday they were born into our world. And as much as we’d love to have them stay forever, alas—their beauty lies in the temporary. A fleeting feeling as a gentle brush against the cheek on a warm Summer’s day that leaves you knowing of a world that’s just a little more comfortable and kind, if only brief. But don’t stress, dear reader. These updates and performance improvements are here each week, making sure we’re giving you our best—always. xoxo.
Ah, fair members, lend me thine ears! For it is I, writer of app updates, here to impart upon you the importance of updating thine app. Our most genius engineers have labored to enhance the experience, banishing the glitches and bugs, and creating the grandest app in all the land. But please forgive my classical tone, for I saw a play and can’t stop talking like this. I have great hope this spell will wear off soon. Till then my noble friends, update thine app. With haste.
Let’s be real: Moving is the worst. It’s exhausting, chaotic, and you’re definitely going to hurt your back. Lift with your legs? I don’t want to lift anything. But you know what’s easy to do? Updating your favorite banking app. Think of our engineers like your dream moving crew. They’re nice, on time and lift all the heavy stuff. But more importantly, they get rid of bugs and help this app run smoothly. And unlike moving, you don't even have to lift a finger to update the app. Well, maybe one.
Welcome! If you’re reading this, you’re here to update your Chime app. Well, that, or you’re a bug on some sort of reconnaissance mission, learning about the new version to strategize a possible way in for you and your bug buds. My advice? Just walk away. You’ll waste a perfectly good Saturday trying (and failing) to figure it out—only to have us write about how you were squashed in some embarrassing way in next weeks’ update notes. But hey, we’re not your mom. Just don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Here’s an ode to spiders. People classify (and treat!) them as bugs all wishy-washy, but I choose to stand up for what’s right. Bugs are what we continuously work to exterminate with our app fixes and performance updates. They’re trouble-makers trying to wreak havoc. Spiders? They’re chill. Stylish. Got two extra legs to kick butt with. And they’re just minding their business, which is going up the water spout. I say more spiders in the Chime app! Who’s with me!? …no? Oh. Ok, fine.
They’ve done it again. Our devs and engineers released yet another app update that improves performance and fixes bugs. They’re basically like the Toothfairy. But instead of dollars, you get a freshly updated app. And instead of under a pillow, you get it right on your phone. And instead of an elfish, airborne creature, it’s a team of smart engineers working remotely from apartment buildings which may or may not contain cats. So, nothing at all like the Toothfairy. Better.
Hey there bug. Nice little strategy you’ve got with the maps and plans to infiltrate the Chime app and do your bug things. Shame if someone were to UPDATE THE APP TO THE LATEST PERFORMANCE FEATURES AND BUG FIXES. *bug’s head who's reading this explodes. For all you non-bugs out there, hit update, and get the best version of the Chime app available. These bugs don’t stand a chance.
You know when you’re about to wrap up work for the day, then realize there’s that one last random thing that totally slipped your mind? Updating your Chime app is not like that. It’s reliable (every time there’s new bug fixes or performance updates), predictable (makes your Chime app run smoothly), and enjoyable (hi app note fans!!). Now if it would only be the same with that one other work thing…what was it again?
Did you know a good way to help someone’s hiccups go away is to startle them? It’s true. Anyways, MyPay is coming to your app on 7/8! It’s our new really cool feature that lets you access money from your next paycheck before payday. Check Chime.com for more since anything else would require legal jargon, and that’s not the app update notes vibe. We keep it chill. Calm. Relaxed. Eas—SMASH UPDATE FOR BUG FIXES AND PERFORMANCE UPGRADES! Did I startle you? No? Do you have hiccups? I rest my case.
We know what you’re thinking: it’s really, really, really hot right now. And not in a cool-album-drop kind of way. More like in a sand-at-the-beach-will-burn-you kind of way. Here’s some advice: keep the flip flops on till you put down your umbrella and towel. And of course, update your favorite banking app. The last thing you need in a heat wave is bugs. That’s why we fix bugs as soon as they pop up, so you have one less thing to sweat about.
Life is all about the right opportunities—you just have to know how to spot them. For example: if you’re here weekly, you know each update is another opportunity to keep the app running way better than your uncle’s ‘2010 Ford Fiesta that somehow needs as much oil as gas. Like this week’s update, packed with performance updates. You know who couldn’t see opportunities? Whoever invented the oven mitt and didn’t call it a Gloven. That person needs to do a facepalm. Wearing a Gloven.
In today’s world, it’s nice knowing you can always count on 2 things. 1—Chime’s got what you need to prioritize your financial progress. 2—Our weekly app updates keep you in the finest bug fixes and performance updates you didn’t know you even needed. And 3—our engineering team always goes a step beyond, because they care. See what we did there? Now smash that update button and leave the math to us.
Have you ever taken a break from the gym so long that you forgot how to do it when you got back? You’re huffing and puffing, your heart is racing, running feels like torture, everything is stiff. The only way to avoid it, really, is to keep working out regularly. In a way, that’s how the Chime app is too. Keep up on the weekly Chime strength conditioning bug fixes and performance updates and you’ll be hitting PRs in no time. Pay Anyone Requests, that is.
Ever been driving down the road and hit a pothole? Not your normal bump. I mean a pothole so loud you think all 4 tires might’ve blown out. It makes you turn the stereo off. Everyone in the car gets silent. A life-altering pothole. But a pothole that wouldn’t exist with regular road maintenance. See where I’m going here? We maintain the Chime app weekly, making sure everything’s running smooth, with bug fixes and performance upgrades. All you have to do is hit update.
Thinking about Forrest Gump today. He said that life is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you’re gonna get. Words of wisdom. And what a movie, huh? But one thing’s for sure, he wasn’t talking about Chime. With our weekly performance updates and bug fixes, you *always* know what you’re gonna get. But—if you update regularly, your app will run beautifully, just like Forrest.
Ever want to control time? Yeah, us too. But until we’ve created a way to app-update yourself into the future, we have the next best thing. MyPay. Without getting into anything that would require legal jargon, it’s our new super awesome feature that lets you access money between paydays when you want it. Get on the waitlist in the app. Just don't leave without tapping “Update” for the latest bug fixes and performance enhancements. Your future self will thank you.

They say don’t judge a book by its cover. Which is good advice for books and terrible advice for apps. You see, we here at Chime dot com have discerning taste when it comes to design. We think a banking app can be more than just numbers on a screen. It can be beautiful, simple, and most importantly, different shades of green. So when you update the app this week that’s what you’ll find: new beautifully designed illustrations, all in your favorite banking app.
Finally, the weather seems to be getting warmer after what feels like the permafrost. I was rocking my puffer jacket up until last week, basically. We’re finally thawing! In Chime app update land, it’s always summer camp life though. We’re sitting around a bonfire, playing Wonderwall. We’re skinny dipping in the lake. And, of course, we’re smashing bugs.
The WNBA season doesn’t tip off for another few weeks, but the hype-train has definitely pulled into the station. And while you’re waiting on #1 draft pick Caitlin Clark’s much anticipated debut, you have time to update your Chime app to the latest bug fixes and performance updates. Hmm, maybe it’s time for something else to get a long overdue “update”, if you know what I mean. But let’s not get into all that here. *Cough* I’m talking about their salaries *cough*.
Admittedly, there’s a lot going on. Mercury is retrograde. A once-in-a-lifetime eclipse just graced North America. And taxes were just due. A cosmic triple threat. But there is a ray of sunshine you can look at directly without protective glasses, your updated Chime app. This week’s update will make you feel like the stars are aligning and the bugs are being eradicated. Because they are. So update the app, file your taxes and don’t try to schedule anything.
Thought I’d send you a little love note today. I wanted to let you know I see you and the progress you’re making. You’re getting over big hurdles, and making small wins every day. Look, you’re even getting these performance updates and bug fixes. If waking up and updating your Chime app is all you did today, that’s still a win. You’re loved. Keep going.
Can we talk about April real quick? Is it the most superior of the months? Possibly. Am I born in April? Also possibly. But that’s beside the point. The point is, it’s the perfect month for going outside, getting euphoric when the weather occasionally hits over 70°, being Fooled™ on the 1st, and doing some spring cleaning in both your wardrobe and your phone. So, delete apps you haven’t touched in months and get those bug fixes and performance updates for your Chime app. Boom. Bug free, spring prepped, and foolproof.
People say Americans have been giving less to charities and tipping less for services. We don’t believe that, and we want to put it to the test. After you update your app this week for the best performance updates and bug fixes money can’t buy, check out our Pay Progress Forward experiment on our social channels where Wayne Brady (yes, that Wayne Brady) puts people’s paying-it-forward potential to the test. The results will shock you. Or not, depending on how you think this is going to play out.
The middle of March rolls around and voila, the world splits. On one side, spring breakers, desperate for a vacation on the beach. On the other side, spring cleaners desperately worried about their hallway closets. The full spectrum of humanity is represented here. But one thing they both agree on? Updating the Chime app. Because wanting the most up-to-date app is the most unifying experience of all. Or at least that's what I tell myself.
Mo’ money, mo’ feelings. That’s the Pisces version of the song, right? The astrological season of all-of-the-feels is upon us. Sure, don’t forget to tend to those emergency savings funds, but also double down on your daydreams. Light your manifesting money candle and go with your (cash) flow, not theirs. This week’s app update is a vibe AND reality check. It’s your boundary BFF, keeping the bugs and glitches out of your account. That way, you get more emo time with your vision board…obviously.
Ever hear the theory that chapstick actually makes your lips more dry, making you use more chapstick in a never-ending, lip-moisturizing loop? These updates aren’t like that. They’re more like putting deodorant on each day just to stay fresh. But if you don’t put it on, you’re still ok, just won’t perform as good or something? Wait no. What I’m saying is, update your app for the latest performance updates. Not because you’re smelly. But if you are, that’s ok too. At least you’re not dry-lipped.
Today I learned that sloths can hold their breaths longer than dolphins. How does that pertain to today’s Chime app update, you might wonder? It doesn’t. Not one bit. But we’re not just put on this earth to give you the straightforward bug fixes and performance updates. We’re here to create beauty and entertain, too. L’art pour l’art! And sometimes that entails serving up quirky facts, if it means putting a smile on your face. Other banking apps could never.
Roll out the green carpet because this update is a big deal. We’re talking new fonts. New colors. New Chime? Don’t stress. We’re the same great app you know and love, with a refreshed-but-familiar look that’s ready to hype you up as you make financial progress. So tap “update”, check these fresh visuals, and put that green carpet back in storage. A makeover like this doesn't happen often. (Ok maybe leave the carpet out a little longer—it really classes-up the place).
When life hands you lemons, make lemonade. But when life hands you $3500, you don’t necessarily have to buy the new Apple Vision Pro. Me? That’s a few months in rent, with some buffer for that high-inflation-but-I-deserve-it latte. That, or I could be swayed into loud budgeting because with $3500, I’m ⅗ of the way to my La Marzocco espresso machine. Luckily, app updates like this one come for free. We guard off the bad guys and bugs from your cash for the cost of $0. Now, that’s a steal.
It’s that time of year again. After weeks of grueling competition, two opponents finally go head-to-head to either come out victorious as a team—or separate in defeat. That’s right: Valentine's Day. Do you have a date? A budget? A plan? Only time (and potentially awkward situations) will tell. But one thing you can predict is Chime’s app updates. Bringing you bug fixes and performance enhancements is our love language, and we’re making it rain heart-eyes all year long. Talk about true love.
What are roses without the red? What are violets without the blue? What’s a “knock knock” without the “who’s there”? What is Ken without Barbie? Exactly, nothing. And app updates are to the Chime app what Greta Gerwig is to the Barbie Movie: absolutely essential. So take these performance updates and bug fixes and update the app, and stop living in a dusty, antiquated past.
After some heated debates among leading experts (online bullies), it's been decided that it's too late to say, Happy New Year. Perhaps if you were reading this on January 10th, sure. But today? No way. So I'll say Appy New Year instead! Because we have a new app update, for this year, and we're very happy about it. So if you want to be HAPPY, with a NEW update, this YEAR, you should totally download it. I rest my case.

It’s holiday dinner and grandma wants to know what you’re watching. “Squid Game”, you say. But how do you explain this crazy show to dear old gran? Cash money. $4 million of it and how far people will go to get it. And like real-life, some things are left up to chance, others aren’t. Take these reliable app updates for example. There’s not a chance any bug or glitch makes it to the next round. Brb, while writing this granny got super into it and now I have to fight her for a spot on the couch.
These weeks between the end-of-November holidays and the end-of-December holidays are odd. It’s the time between holidays where I could *really* use a holiday. It’s a breather between two food comas. It goes by in a blink of an eye, yet drags on. All we can do is not be too harsh on ourselves during this time. Drink our water, do our self-care, get that sleep in, and update our Chime app. Bug fixes, performance updates, and chill vibes only.
When’s the right time to put up holiday decorations? Is it right after Cyber Monday? Beginning of December? While Halloween is still going on: a holiday-ween fusion à la Jack Skellington? Or never? (‘Sup, Grinch.) It’s a debate old as time. My wreath is coming up after Thanksgiving, so the pine scent can air out the turkey smell in the house. One thing that’s for sure is that whenever one of these very important app notes comes out it means it’s juust the right time to update your Chime app.
The holidays are coming! And there’s so much to do. Shopping, parties, family time, the list goes on. FREEZE (*record scratch)—are you prioritizing self-care? Here are a few simple tips. Take 10 mins for deep breathing. Turn off All I Want For Christmas (is you) when it comes on for the 100th time in the car. Or update your Chime app with the latest bug fixes. While our devs do practice self-care, our app updates take no holiday breaks. Ok, maybe for seasonally-flavored boba. But that’s IT.
An ode to dust bunnies! They’re cute. They’re fluffy. They’re a no-maintenance pet. They don’t bark when the mailman comes. And they chill quietly under the bed, guarding you from dangers, and not letting the bed bugs bite. When it comes to the Chime app, the best way to not let the app bugs bite is to get the latest update. Performance improvements and bug fixes, right at your fingertips. Sorry, no fluffy mascots though. At least not in this update.
Hitting up my first zombie festival this year. What, you’re not coming? TBH, feeling a bit of zombie imposter syndrome. Do I buy a Halloween zombie makeup set or just ride my bike straight into a thorn bush? All jokes aside, while zombie insecurities are real, zombie banking isn’t. Our fearless engineers don’t mess around with glitches—any bugs they see are gonna RIP. The only thing that’s staying alive is this costume (without the zombie imposter syndrome). *Cues zombie walk*
Spooky season is here! If you’re not watching Saw I through X, what are you even doing? If you’re here for Halloween vibes, Home Depot’s 12-foot skeleton BETTER be chilling in your backyard. Me? I’m celebrating by updating my Chime app. Cobwebs belong in decorations, not in your banking app! So get those performance updates and let’s squash those bugs—only plastic spiders welcome here.
What’s Arnold Schwarzenegger got to do with this app update? His latest book is all about being useful. As a cyborg. An undercover cop in a kindergarten class. Flexing mounds of muscle on stage. You get my drift. Our engineers didn’t read the book, but they pretty much invented usefulness—especially for terminating bugs. Fun fact: the line “I’ll be back”, was actually about app notes. The original line was “I’ll be back to give you more updates and bug fixes every week” but got cut in post.
Best week ever. Not because duvets made a comeback. Or that apple picking wearing the chunkiest sweater is back in vogue. Scripted TV’s back! Writers! Strike! No! More! Finally, someone’s back to write the ending to a show about supernatural creatures from alternate dimensions. Speaking of plot points, our brilliant engineers are all about happy endings. Like the one where they kill off the nemesis, aka the bugs and glitches. Your app deserves that main character energy. *Aaaaand… scene*
Ah, the humble bay leaf. Collecting dust in the back of everyone’s spice cabinet. We don’t know what it does, or what it tastes like, but we know that soup wouldn’t be soup without it. Well, you could say this app update is like a bay leaf. Quietly making everything better without you even noticing. So if you like to follow a recipe, you’re gonna want to update the app. And if you’re more of a recipe improviser, you should update the app too. Because no one likes bugs in their soup. Or their app.
Student loan payments are starting back in October and it’s been literal years since the last time they were here. Things may have changed a bit since then, but we’re still here giving you these weekly app updates and performance enhancements you love so much. October 1st is coming up fast, so get your ducks, ahem, dollars, in a row. And don’t worry—we won’t tell FASFA you went to that Drake concert.
Three letters: PSL. If it took you a second to realize that was short for Pumpkin Spice Latte, then you’re probably feeling the last-days-of-summer-not-ready-for-fall blues. Cinnamon-y, nutmeg-y coziness in a cup is everyone’s cup of…PSL. Just saying. Even if you’re not a fall fan of nippier nights, it will be that much better drinking this tried-and-true, 20-year-old bevvy. Here’s another cozy vibe, but free: Genius bug fixes. Banking without the bugs while drinking a PSL? Now we’re talkin’.
Drastic app changes make me uncomfortable, so instead of all these social networks I just use the Chime app these days—in here, things feel like home and familiar, but with ever-improving bug fixes and performance updates. And if you try hard enough, it can be a social network too. (Yes, that is an invite to slide into my Boosts.)
We all know the saying “clean sheets, clear minds, can’t lose.” And most importantly—Tune-up Tuesdays: where you smash that Chime app update button. Because a smooth-running app is like self-care for your cash.
Now that Barbenheimer is over, what’s next? Lucky for you, I’ve (kinda) thought this through. Start with ClueLove (Clueless and Dr. Strangelove)—where one is a coming of age story in a material world, and the other has Alicia Silverstone. Then, dive into BlondKirk (Legally Blond and Dunkirk) for this reason: Elle Woods. Then if you have time, check out the war one. Till’ then, update your Chime app for another double-header: bug fixes and performance updates. Or BugDates, if you prefer.
Say no more about this heat. But here’s another forecast! Venus has gone retrograde in Leo. *Checking astrology notes*: Venus appears to be spinning backwards from the POV of Earth. The TLDR? You might be feeling more introspective about things like self-expression. And your inner “lights, camera, action” might be slowing its roll too (oh heyyy Hollywood). Apparently, fancy bug fixes and app updates don’t go into retrograde with the planets. It’s like they say…the show must go on.
Summer staycations are totally underrated. Especially now with these raging heat waves melting everything in its tracks. This one right here is doing ice cream runs, pool parties, and anything involving ice. Maybe Barbenheimer round two, just because…you know, AC. Speaking of good staycation vibes, our engineers want to remind you to update your fave banking app. No more glitches, no more pesky bugs, just yesss to the besssst. You deserve it. Now go enjoy that popsicle.

Let me stop you right here. Unlike the rest of the wifi-ed world, there will be no Barbie or Oppenheimer spoilers here. In this brief moment you don’t have to worry about a huge plot point being revealed. Because the engineers at Chime are looking out for you. That’s why this update is full of app enhancements and clear of spoilers. So don’t be afraid to update your favorite banking app. And happy movie watching, friends.
VIBE ALERT! The Chime app now has an iOS-only (that’s you guys) widget for the Home Screen where you can see your Checking, Savings, and Credit Builder balances without even having to open the app. Just update the app, long-press on your iPhone Home Screen, and press the + button in the top left to get your balance report front and center. Show it OFFF.
There’s a lot of theories on how to grill a steak. Personally, I like to use the flip method: there is where I internally flip out the entire time I’m cooking and hope that my father-in-law thinks it tastes great. But luckily, this app update is nothing like grilling in front of my father-in-law. It’s easy to update and it’ll make your in-app experience as smooth as a hamburger bun. Which reminds me, I’m only grilling burgers from now on. Happy app updating.
Is June the best month of the year? Think about it. We’ve got graduations, Father’s Day, Juneteenth celebrations, Pride parties, the start of barbecues, the start of beach season and the official start of summer! There is so much to enjoy and celebrate this month and the last thing you want is a glitchy app. So we got rid of any of those pesky bugs slowing you down. Because this is YOUR summer. And we’re just here to provide a seamless experience. Update away.

Smokeapolypse in NY. June Gloom in LA. You know what brings us comfort in weird times, besides filtered oxygen? House plants, weighted blankets and a good TV binge. Oh, and of course pouring milk before cereal (honestly, try it). Speaking of which, our engineers are all hard at work improving the app and killing off those pesky bugs. Best part? Your safety brings them comfort in weird times. Basically, we all win.
Have you ever thought it was strange that you needed to search for people's $ChimeSigns with the $ when trying to Pay Anyone? Wouldn't it be nice to not have to worry about that so you can easier send or request money and Boosts? We heard you loud and clear. Besides the usual bug squashes and performance updates, you no longer have to type the $ before their $ChimeSign when you Pay Anyone in the Chime app. Brb, gonna go Boost the engineering team now.
AI this, AI that. It’s seemingly everything, everywhere, all at once. You know, launching design features that have eyeballs turning. Playing language tutor to kids. Diagnosing diseases at the drop of a hat. Can it find me my soulmate? But for all its greatness, AI still can’t make Chime better, faster or stronger. Only humans can. Like our stellar engineers that keep you and your accounts safe with their genius bug fixes. No offense AI, we’ve got a human for that.
Spring cleaning, spring organizing, spring sneezing from a cloud of freshly bloomed pollen. Spring is a curious time to kick up a bunch of dust in our homes. And yet, we do it anyway. We rearrange furniture, we make a big donation pile, we vacuum that one corner no one has looked at in months! Well, an app is like a home. And our engineers spent the season wiping out all the bugs and glitches. So when you update the app, it’s like you’re running the dishwasher on your phone. Metaphorically, of course.
“Cure the travel bug,” said no one ever. My travel bug can’t be cured. Catch me road tripping, riding into the sunset through [insert dreamy location]. Your OOO is ready to go, right? Some bugs spread faster than memes of Grumpy Cat. She def needs a vacation. Point is: other bugs need to not spread. That’s what our engineers are for. You know, to get rid of those glitchy bugs in the app. So smash that update button and then go smash some #travelgoals. That way, you both can take a vacay.
Our time has come—calling all Tauruses! Tauri? Tauritos? Bebecita-urus? Anyways, this is an ode to all late April and early May kids. We are strong. We are resilient. We are…*googles traits* loyal. Some of us are better with money than others. Some of us believe in astrology more than others. What we can probably all agree on are that bug fixes and improvement updates are like a daily manifestation. You know, so the Chime app doesn’t go into retrograde.
Ah, Spring time, the most colorful time of year. The trees are blossoming, the grass is coming back, even California is going to have a super bloom. Well our engineers took a cue from nature and worked tirelessly to update the colors in our app. Our greens are greener and our typeface is easier to read because of it. And lucky for you, updating the ole app won’t give you allergies. Thanks engineers.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year—PLAYOFF SEASON. Or, it *was* the most wonderful time of the year until the Mavs didn’t make it. It’s okay though. Luka, I love you! And just like the teams that didn’t make it this time around, OUR team is constantly working on bug fixes and performance updates. Onward and upward.
Have you ever thought about what makes a burrito perfect? Too much protein and your ‘rito is gonna split. Too little rice and your sauce gets everywhere. It’s a delicate balance that has been perfected over millennia. Well this app update is striving for that level of perfection. Because when your fave banking app runs smoothly, you’re one step closer to a perfect burrito [that you can buy for yourself]. Hope this helps. Till next time, burrito friends.
What’s with the weather this year? Cold, rainy, and chaotic. If it was just this week, I’d think it was a timely April Fools’ joke…but this nonsense has been going on for months. “It never rains in Southern California”, my @$$. One place where it truly never rains is inside your Chime app. Just your weekly cadence of easy breezy bug fixes and performance updates. In here, you’re the only one making it rain.
Owning a pet is crazy because every once in a while it’ll start acting funny and the cure will either be a $2,000 surgery or it just needs to go #2—and you just gotta guess which one you’re dealing with. Lucky for you, these app updates are more predictable. Just banger performance updates and bug fixes on the weekly for the #1 most loved banking app. And the occasional writeup about pets possibly having to go to the bathroom.
We have entered The Era of Pedro Pascal Pandemonium. We talked to dozens of totally real (and not made up) historians. They all agreed, he is the moment. So, we want history to remember this app note as more than just a bunch of bug fixes and new features that make your life a little easier. This update is in honor of the living legend himself. Yes, this one goes out to all the Pascal Rascals out there. May you live wild and free. Like an app update.
This app note was written by AI: "Have you ever had a moment where you're walking down the street and suddenly realize you don't remember the last few blocks? It's like your body went on autopilot while your mind took a nap. Well, that's not gonna happen with Chime. We keep you engaged and alert with our regular app updates and performance improvements. So, update the app and stay present, even on autopilot." Ok, AI can write this, but can it provide a better way to bank? Didn't think so.
Call us purists, but we’d never use these app updates to plug something other than our great weekly performance boosts and bug fixes. No way. We'd never use it to say how we have this super cool place called the Chime Community Hub, where members can get free Chime swag, early sweepstakes alerts, and so much more simply by signing up with their $Chimesign. Nope, none of that. Just pure, unadulterated app update hype. As it should be.
Signs that you may be experiencing a food coma: 1. You’re laying down. 2. You had to unbuckle your belt. 3. You can’t seem to escape the sound of a parade blasting through the TV. Luckily an effective treatment exists. Simply update the ole app-a-rooney. Nothing soothes the stomach like eradicating bugs and glitches. Is this solid medical advice? Absolutely not. I’m just an entry level copywriter. But my mom wishes I was a doctor, so that’s basically the same thing.
They say love and money don’t mix. But we say, nay! Love and money are like peas in a pod, or butter on a biscuit, or gum stuck to your shoe. No matter how hard you try to separate them, the gum is still there. So show some love to your favorite money app and smash that update button. Because roses are red, violets are blue, and we made this update just for you.
App updates are like pizza. Flat, round, and tasty. Wait, sorry, that’s not it. These bug fixes and performance updates help your Chime app run smoothly, which is actually the complete opposite—I don't run *at all* after a big Italian meal, that’s for sure. One thing these updates do have in common with pizza, though, is that they’re cheesy and hopefully make you smile. Buon appetito! Let’s get this dough.
Being a writer isn’t easy, let me tell you. Oh, you probably think it’s just all fun and games like writing these jokey app notes—no, no, no. Granted, I don’t create any of these bug fixes or performance updates like our brilliant engineering team…but I do other hard things! Smoking cigars in my monocle, spinning my quill between my fingers, and perusing the local periodical stand for inspiration. After re-reading that last line, my creative process could probably use an app update.
Pets are great. But unlike my dinner routine most nights (spoiler alert—it’s pasta), pets are totally unpredictable. One minute you’re taking a nap, the next a cat is tap-dancing on your forehead. Think you’ve got your pup housebroken? Think again! Bust out the carpet spray. App updates on the other hand, are predictable. Each week our devs flex the latest bug fixes and performance updates. I guess in that way, they’re like a pet’s love. Unconditional (and sometimes adorable.)
Winter blues, new year’s resolutions, three weeks of going to the gym, this is what January is all about. We’re all building new routines and throwing our fists up at the gray, gray sky. Show us the sun you cowards! While you’re stocking up on vitamin d supplements, may I direct your attention to the humble app update. It can’t replace the sun, but it can make your favorite app work even better. Thanks engineers. (Yes, gratitude is my new year's resolution.)
It’s here! And by “it”, I mean the final app notes of the year. So for one last time in 2022, let me remind you to – drumroll please – update your Chime app with the latest bug fixes and performance updates. I’d lie if I said I’m not tearing up a bit. I’m gonna miss sharing my completely logical and totally not unhinged thoughts and observations with you for a few weeks. So until January rolls around, you can find me perched up on the roof of our office monologuing into space. Happy Holidays!
This app update is dedicated to your most listened to artist of the year. And while we can’t legally name any of these artists, we can make in-app improvements that make life a little easier. Our engineers work tirelessly to create a seamless experience for you. And just like artists, engineers need validation. So make this update the most updated update of the year.
Thanksgiving’s almost here and we’re in the middle of a turkey shortage! Just another thing inflation has gotten its hands around. But let’s talk about something that’s inflation-proof: Chime’s app updates. For the same price each week (nothing), you can grab performance upgrades and bug fixes with the same tap of a button as the week before. I was going to include “family time” as something else inflation-proof, but it’s turned the $50 Uncle Jimbo owes me into $78.96. He can bring the bird.
Some weeks are harder than others. Whatever you may or may not be going through right now, there’s always a few actions you can take that can make things a little bit easier. Breathe deeply. Update your Chime app with the latest bug fixes and performance updates (you knew it was coming). Then take some screen-free unplug time. And always make sure to hug your loved ones before they take off.
Hear ye, hear ye, we’re announcing the retirement of this meme forever, “Negroni, Sbagliato, with Prosecco in it.” Do we have the authority to do that? Absolutely not. But now we have your attention. We’re introducing our best app update yet. It’s got bug fixes and glitch eradicators. It even has Prosecco in it. Why? Because memes never retire: They live in the minds of copywriters forever.
It’s that spooky time of year again, and you know what scares us? Nothin’. Well, except when phones make those super emotional videos from pictures you’ve taken. One minute you’re ordering an Uber, the next you’re crying over a dog you had 5 years ago out of nowhere. So, while updating your app to the latest performance and security features helps with your fear of bugs, it unfortunately won’t help with your fear of seeing a tear-jerking video of ol’ Peetey randomly and against your will.
A fun fact I learned today is that in England, there are more chickens (982 million) than people (66 million), so the people would kind of be in trouble if the chickens decided to revolt. And then I started wondering what the bug to person ratio is on the internet, and if they could take us down if they formed an army? Either way, Chime’s weekly bug fixes and performance updates will keep you safe. From the bugs, that is. Not sure about the chickens.
Sometimes I ask myself: “Why am I a Chime member?”, and a multitude of things cross my mind: no hidden fees, the community aspect (Boost for Boost, anyone?), these weekly bug fixes and performance updates of course, and automatic savings to name a few. I wish I could auto-save some snacks for later instead of eating them all at once. Then I could really start talking about stacking my chips. Until that feature is out, I’ll just be stacking…you know, my chips.
Natural disasters are no joke—not only from the physical dangers, but they can be super costly, too. It’s tough to remember this as you’re watching your things get destroyed, but they can all be replaced. Family and friends cannot. So after you update your Chime app this week to the latest bug fixes and performance updates, go straight into your directory, call a random person in your contacts, and tell them you love them. Then remind them to update their app, too.
This week I decided to let a marketing algorithm robot write the update. Not sure it was the best idea. See for yourself:
Hello fellow humans. How about those fall seasonal changes? Kinda makes me want to pour hot pumpkin flavored beverages down into my throat to celebrate. You should join in celebration by pouring hot Chime app updates down your phone’s throat in a similar fashion. Initiate these performance updates and bug fixes by thumb-pressuring the update button. Fall-themed message over.
Fall is almost here. That means Mariah Carey begins her annual thawing-out process. By December 1st (or earlier), she’ll be back, full-force, delivering holiday hits across the country—and you’ll be shocked at how it’s that time of year again. To combat this feeling, just think: “What would Mariah do?”. Well for one, she’d update her Chime app to the latest performance updates and bug fixes. Then she’d come to my place and sing “Butterfly” from start to finish. Yep, that’s totally what she’d do.
Is a functioning ice cream machine too much to ask for right now? In this heat, some creamy cold vanilla goodness would hit the spot. Maybe the soft serve-people could take a page out of our engineers’ book? Even before something has a chance to break they're there with their magical bug-fixing tools and feature-updating gadgets. Although updates don’t come with soft serve…hmm, they’ll have to take a page out of Mickey D’s book on that one. I’ll bring it up in the next meeting.
OK look—you want bug fixes and performance upgrades. We have bug fixes and performance upgrades. Let’s make a deal. Update your app, and we’ll give you what you want. We’ll also throw in a little financial peace of mind, as a treat. Just smash that update button now. Or tap. Why do people say “smash”? You can achieve the same result with a gentle tap, right? Unless you like that sort of thing. I mean, we really like smashing bugs. I guess there’s really no wrong way here. Smash away.
Drivers wanted. Just do it. Got milk? All legendary and famous brand taglines. And while they seem easy to come up with from an outsider’s perspective, I can say with certainty, they’re not. That’s why we leave it to the professionals. Like these weekly performance updates and bug fixes. My phone would end up a pile of flaming plastic if I tried to code them. Maybe I’m better off sticking to taglines. How about “A no-cap credit card that’s not cr*p”? Sorry, I’ll see myself out.
Well folks, we’ve got a hot one for you today. Hot off the press for these incredibly hot times. For this update, our wildly intelligent engineers have found a way to make your app experience even smoother. Or dare I say, cooler. While the physical world is hotter than a metal seatbelt in Texas, our app runs like a breeze. And next up our engineers will invent an actual breeze. So check back here every week, forever, on all things breeze. Banking made… Breezy. Ok, I’ll stop now.
We’re Ushering in a new week—and with it, a new batch of bugs. They’re always trying to get into the app, but our Superstar team is working hard at their Tiny Desks so that U Don’t Have To Call. My Confessions are that I’m always trying to rush these performance fixes, but we need to take it Nice & Slow, so that they're implemented the right way (not just My Way). So: a big thank you to the engineering team! You Make Me Wanna do a little happy dance each week. Don’t believe me? Watch this…
Those Webb telescope images are pretty incredible. They show how big the universe is and how small we are, down here worrying about things like the $10 Josh owes me or social media followers. But even if the universe was 10x its size, Chime would still be here giving you weekly app updates with performance enhancements and bug fixes—which could actually help with getting that $10 back from Josh! As for the social media followers, not sure what to tell ya. Maybe start a credit score meme page?

It’s tough when you finish the last episode of a really good show you’ve been streaming. You just sit there with this pit in your stomach like, now what? But unlike Stranger Things, our app updates won’t leave you upside-down. Each week we release a brand spankin’ new episode of bug fixes and performance updates, and this week is no different. Kinda like Mike’s haircut throughout seasons 1-4. But less bowl cut-ey.
These past couple weeks have been a lot. Actually, these past 2 years have been a lot. And at this point it seems easy to just say “it is what it is”—but you deserve better. So if you’re looking for a sign to stop accepting that mentality, this is it. Yep. In the form of an app update description. Weird, right? Now come on over and grab a plate of these weekly bug fixes and performance updates before you go out and demand more than the status quo. Because you deserve it.
It always seems like no new music comes out for so long and then BAM: Drake drops an album with Beyonce’s on the way—and everything is right in the world. Now, I’m not gonna sit here and compare Chime’s weekly app updates and performance improvements with a new Beyonce album, but while she has the Beehive, we have the Bughive. That’s where our bug-bashing takes place at Chime. It’s actually just our office lunch room where there may or may not be burritos. Spoiler alert: there are.
Today I stepped out of the house, and that alone seemed to have cost me $1 more than yesterday. Inflation is affecting all of us these days. Except that Arizona iced tea? $.99 since 1994, what?! We'll be patiently waiting for a TED Talk from them, because everything not in their oversized can is getting ridiculous. Another thing that’s inflation-proof is that the bug fixes and app updates on your main money management machine (that's the Chime app) will always be free. That's 99 cents less than Arizona iced tea. In-app tip optional.
There’s a lot to love about this update, like its warm and caring personality. You didn’t even have to ask and this update just fixed a bunch of bugs for you. That’s called, thoughtfully anticipating your needs before you even communicate them. This update is like the leading male character in an early 2000’s rom-com: thoughtful, gets rid of bugs, one-dimensional. Pretty perfect if you ask me.
How do you know summer is here? Well first, your favorite company will wish you a Happy Pride. And second, bugs. Big bugs, small bugs, ladybugs, and those pesky digital bugs. But not on our app. Nope, our engineers get rid of bugs better than your grandma’s fly swatter. This is basically the deet of updates. Nay, the citronella candle of updates. No bugs, just vibes. Anyway, like I was saying, Happy Pride everybody.
Hey there bug. Nice little strategy you’ve got with the maps and plans to infiltrate the Chime app and do your bug things. Shame if someone were to UPDATE THE APP TO THE LATEST PERFORMANCE FEATURES AND BUG BASHES. *bug’s head whose reading this explodes. For all you non-bugs out there, hit update and get the best version of the Chime app available. These bugs don’t stand a chance.
Ahh graduation season. The parties. The gowns. The mortarboards. Hold up, I’ve never thought about this—why is it called a mortarboard? I would’ve just called it a Flat Hat. “Come get your fancy-brain Flat Hats, ergonomically designed to hold your new, bigger brain”, they’d say. How do I get this going? Do I just call 800-IVY-LEAGUE or something? Anyways, you don’t need a Flat Hat to “graduate” to this week's performance updates and routine bug bashes. But you’d look pretty darn cool if you did.

You: What do we want? Performance updates and bug fixes! When do we want them? Weekly! Us: Done. You: Wait—It’s that easy? Us: Yep. You: How? Us: Our team of crazy smart and good-looking engineers functioning on pure adrenaline (and maybe a bag of Hot Cheetos or two) work around the clock to make sure the app is always running smoothly and bugs are kept at bay—so all you have to do is smash that update button. You: Wait, did you say Hot Cheetos?
Mother’s Day. Father’s Day. Valentine’s Day. We’re good at celebrating the ones who support us throughout the year. But what about your phone? It also supports you everyday—with money management, endless entertainment, and loads of tools to help you do almost anything. Maybe it should get a Phone’s Day of its own. And in that case, updating your Chime app with the latest upgrades and bug fixes would be its cheesy card, breakfast in bed, and box of chocolates all rolled into one.
You know what would be hard? Deciding what to get Elon Musk for his birthday. He can just buy whatever he wants, like an entire social network, for example. But what about the things money can’t buy? Talent. Falling in love. Updating your Chime app with the latest performance updates and bug fixes—because that doesn’t cost a thing. Unlike a time machine set to March 28th, 1995 to see Jordan drop 55 points against the Knicks. Which is what I’d want for my birthday as the world’s richest man.
Taco Bell brought back the Mexican Pizza! Correction: WE (Taco Bell lovers) brought it back. Some companies just get it. They pay attention, listen, and in times like this—it’s beautiful. That’s Chime’s philosophy, too. All our products came from members telling us how to make their financial lives easier, and us listening. So while updating your app will make it run faster, smoother, and more bug-less, it won’t make it taste like a perfect fusion of Italian and Mexican cuisine. Or will it?
If you’ve come for weekly performance upgrades and routine bux fixes, they’re here. But I'd rather check on how you’re doing. If you don’t think you’re progressing fast enough or moving in the right direction, relax, you are. Success isn’t always a straight line—you’ve gotta do some zig-zagging to find your zone. Like trying things that don’t work, getting into uncomfortable situations, or just plain zoning out and scrollin’ the feed. So this is me, telling you, to go easy on yourself this week.

Some things just make sense. Like downloading this week’s app update, jam-packed with performance updates and routine bug bashes. Others, not so much. Like the Easter Bunny. It’s almost like the Easter Bunny was created simply to tie-in chocolate to an otherwise chocolateless holiday, so whatever Chocolate Cartel thought that up: thank you. Now if only someone could do the same thing with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, we’d be set.
These days, if there’s one thing you can expect, it’s that you can’t expect anything. That Oscars thing? Male birth control pills? Didn’t see either of those coming. So we’re here to give you something that goes against that philosophy with yet another consecutive week of banger performance updates and routine bug bashes. But back to the male birth control thing—is that really a necessary invention when fedoras already exist? Asking for a friend.
Springeth has sprungeth. And you know what that means? The weather is about to get weird. One minute it’s raining. The next minute? It’s sunny. And by sunny, we mean thundering. And by thundering we mean there’s a rainbow, look up! With all this uncertainty, you can always count on us to give you a solid app update. We fixed a few bugs and generally made the experience better for you. So slam that update button and enjoy the sunshine. And/or rain. And/or rainbows.
Things that will happen by updating your Chime app this week: app runs faster with the included performance updates, and more securely with the bug fixes. Things that won’t happen by updating: app explodes, gas prices drop, Kim and Kanye get back together. We’ll see what we can do about those gas prices though.
Here’s what you need to know for this update: 1. Pay Friends is now “Pay Anyone” in the app, which is fitting, because sometimes you have to pay people you might not call a “friend”. Like a landlord or long-lost cousin. But if you’re reading this, I consider you my friend. 2. It’s got your weekly performance updates and a bug fix or two. 3. I feel like you don’t believe me. I mean it, y'all are my friends! I might not know you but you’re reading this and that means a lot. 4. (Seriously though).
They’ve done it again. Our devs and engineers released yet another app update that improves performance and fixes bugs. They’re basically like the Toothfairy. But instead of dollars, you get a freshly updated app. And instead of under a pillow, you get it right on your phone. And instead of an elfish, airborne creature, it’s a team of super-smart engineers with bluetooth headsets working remotely from apartment buildings which may or may not contain cats. So, nothing at all like the Toothfairy.
Ever hear the term “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Us either. That’s why we’re always looking for new ways to keep making the app better and keep you lovin’ Chime! This week’s update includes a few new performance enhancements and a bug fix or two, if you’re counting. Have a great week and be easy on yourself—you’re doing awesome.
With everything happening right now, updating your Chime app may seem low on the priority list—and maybe it is. But maybe, just maybe, it’s more important than ever. The uncertain state of the world can be worrisome, but I find stability in knowing another banger update awaits that will make my app run more efficiently and securely than the week before. And if the only other thing certain to happen is Kanye posting something that breaks the internet again, I’m totally ok with those terms.
Nothing beats the feeling of getting that one push notification. You know—that one app that when you hear that certain sound, you instantly feel warm and fuzzy. For me, that’s Chime. But not because I work here. Whenever I’m notified of something like a grocery delivery being charged, I’m reminded how we live in a world where an introvert such as myself can run all their errands without leaving the house. And that, my friends, is beautiful. Enjoy this week’s performance updates and bug fixes.
Internet trends come and go. Milk Crate Challenge? That really stepped it up, and fell-off. Bottle-flipping? All that practice just to be chucked into the recycling bin. Wordle? Pause. This one’s still here so let’s not S-P-O-I-L it. If all this leaves you needing stability—we’ve got you. Each week you can expect the best performance updates and app maintenance this side of the ‘net. And who knows what the next trend will be. Hopefully it won’t require health insurance (Tide Pods anyone?).
Valentines Day is coming up and you could get lucky. With our #Tag-a-Bestie Sweepstakes! What were you thinking? Anyways, keep your heart-eyes glued to our social Thursday the 10th for details and you could walk-of-shame away with $500. Since you’re here, you should probably update your app, too, because this week has some great performance upgrades and routine maintenance. And while we didn’t yassify the app for a V-Day date night, these updates are still very H.O.T.
February is a month for second-chances. It’s the 2nd month, after all. That New Year’s resolution didn’t take? Try again in Feb. Forgot to update the Chime app and missed out on those fire performance updates and bug fixes? Boom, here’s your 2nd chance. Removed the boots from the Green M&M for some strange and irrational reason? Use February to correct this unacceptable mistake. (Seriously, there’s still time to fix this, M&M people. Do the right thing here)
This update is for all the parents out there. Human parents, pet parents, plant parents, all of them. In a way, keeping the app updated is kinda like being a parent, too. It needs love and care (performance updates), and it needs protection from the dangers of the world (keeping the bugs out). This version does both of those things. But the best part about being an app-parent? You don’t have to worry about Pete Davidson trying to date it. At least, we think.

Taco Bell and Subway are selling wings now? Looks like 2022 is starting off with that “anything goes” energy of 2021. But if they can do something as far-fetched as that, something like building your credit score should be a breeze, right? Especially when your app is updated with the latest performance upgrades and bug fixes. And don’t worry: Chime isn’t going to start selling wings, too. Unless, you know, that would be something you’d be into. Would it? (Please say yes, please say yes.)
This update is dedicated to families—related and chosen. Specifically, what you can do together this holiday besides looking at phones. #1. Movie night! I suggest the one where Ryan Reynolds goes to his hometown and falls in love with his high school sweetheart. #2. Talent Show! The perfect spot to bust out that “freestyle” you’ve been thinking about lately. Just keep it G (rated). #3. Update your Chime app for performance updates and bug fixes! (You knew that was coming). Happy holidays!
Are you paying attention to the product shortages due to “supply chain issues”? I wasn’t either, until they started messing around with my Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. Car parts? Fine. But take away that sweet lab-made cheese dust and I’m going to start acting out of pocket. You know what’s great about the Chime app though? No supply chain issues over here. Our updates don’t need a boat to get to you. Just performance updates and bug fixes from a dev snacking on a bag of delicious Hot Cheetos. Oh snap.
Life is all about the right opportunities—you just have to know how to spot them. For example: if you’re here weekly, you know each update is another opportunity to keep the app running better than a Black Friday shopper at a pile of flatscreens. Like this week’s version, packed with performance and visual upgrades. You know who couldn’t see opportunities? Whoever invented the oven mitt and didn’t call it a Gloven. People would have a Gloven on their Black Friday shopping lists for sure.
The holiday season is here once again, so I thought it’d be a good time to check in. While the holidays mean different things to everyone, these last few weeks of the year can be pretty stressful. Working more, spending more, the pressure to make everything perfect for the fam—it’s a LOT. So in the time it takes to run this week’s app update (which is full of performance upgrades and minor bug fixes), take a deep breath and cut yourself some slack. You are enough, and you’re doing just fine.
This version has minor bug fixes and some really great performance updates. It’s also the week I was going to remind you to set your clock back for Daylight Saving Time. But since everyone reading this most likely has a smartphone, you don’t have to worry about it. So instead, just update your app, “fall back” asleep for an extra hour, and dream about all the cool things phones do for us nowadays. Except when people use it to talk. I haven’t answered an unexpected phone call since 2010.
Hi screenreader users, we know you're out there! We improved accessibility for our slider component, so that it's less of a pain to adjust your SpotMe limit. Check it out! More accessibility improvements will be coming in the future, because we want Chime to be comfortable and easy to use for as many people as possible.
This time of year, two things are certain. #1. Everyone reading this is about to get absolutely bombarded by Mariah Carey’s 1994 smash hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You” (especially if you work retail). And #2. Chime has yet another banger app-update, packed with bug fixes and so many performance updates that you might not even notice it’s the beginning of the holiday season. Oh wait, yes you will. Because of #1.
Halloween decorations are getting wilder each year. As I was walking down the street today, a full-on movie-quality monster lunged at me out of nowhere and I totally saw my life flash before my eyes! Ok, honestly, I was doing my normal walking-while-phone-scrolling when I crashed face-first into my neighbor's sPoOkY dangling plastic spider. Anyways, this version has enough sPoOkY bug fixes and performance updates to fill a pillow-sized trick-or-treat bag—and you should update.
Hey—what if the bugs that try to get into our app are like the contestants on Squid Game? OK, hear me out. You’re a bug, down on it’s luck. And along comes this other bug in a suit. He says how you can improve your bug life by signing up for this game, but once you get there, it’s bonkers. Other bugs are getting “eliminated'' left and right. Chaos everywhere. I don’t know how the show ends, but in the Chime version, no bug remains unsquashed. GREEN LIGHT! (That means go update your app.)

Our developers are amazing. In fact, I’m so impressed with their weekly bug fixes and performance improvements that writing these updates isn't enough for me—I also give verbal app-updates to my friends. I’ll tell them how each week the Chime devs do so many cool things, like upgrading UI components or giving the ChimeBot an oil change. Normally people respond with blank stares (due to their excitement I’m guessing) or say things like “Sir, this is an Arby’s”. I’m just doing my part.
I’m taking this week’s app update to weigh in on one of life’s most important questions:
Would you rather have $500k or dinner with Jay-Z? On one hand, $500k is $500k more than you have now. On the other, Jay-Z could give you insight money can’t buy, teaching you how to make even more than $500k. But what if you don’t hit it off? Now the $500k is gone and you have nothing to show for it but awkward silence. I’m torn. At least with Chime, you know what to do. That’s right: Update. Your. App.
Ahh fall. The time of year where I have my recurring dream of a disastrous scenario where Chime saves the day. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is about to drop. But here I am with just enough money to put gas in my car. Then, BOOM—early payday. Next thing I know I’m crunching leaves under my UGG boots as I make my way to fall flavortown with a grande PSL. Did I mention it’s 2005? Point being—update the app and Chime can be a real-life hero to your period-piece disaster-dream, too.
We maintain the Chime app weekly, making sure everything’s runnin’ smooth—and this version is no different. All you have to do is hit update.
I was really busy this week so I decided to let a marketing algorithm robot write the update. It might not have been the best idea. Here’s what it came up with:
Hello fellow humans. Did you hear the new Kanye West cd? My favorite song is Donda. Do you know what else is great? Correct—updating the app. Chime’s developers excel in bug termination upkeep. I myself appreciate the newly-added UI components. I find them agreeable to my very human eyes. Updating your app is very lit. End communication.
Ever hear the theory that chapstick actually makes your lips more dry, causing you to need more and more chapstick in a never-ending, lip-moisturizing loop? These app updates are not like that. Take this week’s version. You’ll notice after updating, navigating from the ChimeBot will be noticeably easier. It won’t then cause ChimeBot to malfunction in some robotically-hilarious way, conveniently only fixed with another update. What I’m saying is, just update. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
This week’s updates have a lot of small, technical things that make the app run smoother, and you should definitely update. But let’s take a moment to check-in. How are you? There’s a lot going on in the world right now and it’s totally ok to feel not-so-great about it sometimes. Just know you’re not alone. Things that normally help: getting enough sleep, staying hydrated, talking with friends, taking a break from social media. Remember—always make time for yourself and never forget to breathe.
Welcome! If you’re reading this, you’re here to update your Chime app. Well, that, or you’re a bug on some sort of reconnaissance mission, learning about the new version to strategize a possible way in for you and your bug buds. My advice? Just walk away. You’ll waste a perfectly fine Saturday trying (and failing) to figure it out—only to have me write about how we squashed you in some embarrassing way in next weeks’ update notes. But hey, I’m not your mom. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.
I could say that we updated some button copy and fixed exit flows and added some *pretty cool* UI components but I can show you instead. Just update your app to see what’s changed!
Made some things a little prettier and shinier! As if a sticker fairy flew through your house, leaving some little presents that you probably won't notice, but will be a small delight if you happen to come across the right spot. Except by "house" we mean "Chime app" and by "stickers" we mean "UI components conforming to established design principles". It's very exciting.
Upgrading our systems for greater security and fewer bugs! I don't really know how it works, so please envision a very large number of cats hired to stalk and pounce on any intruders or rogue insects. That should be close enough.

We vacuumed a bug out from your friends list! We pinched a bug from behind some web links! And then we released them very gently into the wild with a little kiss.
Our fee-free ATM network is bigger than ever! We’ve added a banner on the ATM map screen showing you some of the most popular stores and chains that contain fee-free ATMs. You know. In case you wanted to grab some cash at the same time you grab some cup noodles. Or pool noodles. Your call.
You did it! You’ve made it through another work week! And if you ask us, the best way to celebrate is by updating your Chime app to make sure that hard-earned money is doing the most. Then maybe go get a burrito or something. You’ve certainly earned it.
If you do one thing today, update your Chime app. If you do two things today, start that rainy-day fund you’ve been meaning to save for. If you do three things today, take a moment to relax—because now with an updated app, you have all the tools you need to get the most from your money. Then pat yourself on the back. That’s a lot of things for one day.
Hopefully you’ve taken care of your spring-cleaning because summer is here! What’s that? You haven’t updated your app? Well here’s your chance to get on it and turn summertime into the summer of Chime, with an up-to-date app that’ll keep you sending Boosts to the crew and using SpotMe when rent’s due. Bring on the heat!
Our mission at Chime is to always have our members’ backs. That means constantly building products that help people get the most from their money, and making sure those products are always working the best they can. All you have to do is smash that update button. This weeks’ updates include:
- Now you can search on your SpotMe Boosts contact list
- A new Subtab selector for Mail a Check "Individual/Business"
- Other bug fixes and performance updates
Some days are really good. Early payday. Taco Tuesdays. International Peas Day. Ok, that last one doesn’t actually exist. But the point is, Chime App Release Day blows all of those out of the water. Why? Because it brings you financial peas of mind! This release has:
- Fixed a bug where the SpotMe Boost rocket image was small on smaller devices
- Changed the “availability” copy on transfers out of Chime from 5-7 days to the correct 1-3 days.
- Other bug fixes and performance updates
With the world nowadays, it’s nice knowing you can always count on two things. 1—Chime’s got your back. 2—our weekly app updates are always worth doing, and 3—our engineering team always goes a step beyond what’s needed. Like providing a third thing to count on from a two thing list. This version includes:
- The "Pay Friends" tab title is now "Friends"
- Reload transaction alerts in Transactions screen after a pull to refresh
- Bug fixes and performance updates
We’re doubling-down on you by doubling eligible SpotMe members’ base limits, up to $200!
Now you can go on that double date, buy that double-shot cappuccino, or double-up on your favorite pint of ice cream (we won’t judge) with a little less worry and a lot more financial peace of mind. This update includes:
- SpotMe limit amount update, now goes up to $200
- New error message if you attempt to transfer an amount over the maximum limit to your Credit Builder account
- Bug fixes and performance updates
You know that phrase “The grass is always greener on the other side?” Well, we don’t have grass, but we’ve got everything you need to make your green grow like grass. Get it? Because grass grows fast and with Chime, your money also grows...ah nevermind. This week we have some awesome updates to the app, like:
- Transfer Selection Screen user interface updates
- Minor design fix for the Direct Deposit screen
- Performance updates and bug fixes
“In the quest for financial peace of mind, one must first accomplish their Chime app update” -Unknown. No one knows who said that wise quote ages ago, but it rings as true today as it ever has. Ok, I said it. Yesterday. Update your app this week and you’ll get some great performance updates and bug fixes! Also:
-Scroll to the top of any screen by tapping that screen’s tab at the bottom
-Design and copy changes for Move My Pay screens
-User interface updates on the Transfer From Other Banks screen

If your mother were here, she would probably say something like “Financial peace of mind is there for people who update their Chime app. Also, clean your room.” Ok, she might not say that first part. But all the mothers here at Chime would! This weeks update includes bug fixes, performance updates, and:
- User interface changes to Transfer Funds
- User interface update in the Link Debit Card screen
- Not an update, but wish your mom a Happy Mother’s Day!
What do we want? Bug fixes and performance upgrades! When do we want them? Weekly! At Chime, we’re always hunting for bugs to bash and performances to upgrade so you can more easily be your best financial self—and this week is no different.
Standouts from this version include:
New confirmation text when editing your username.
New animated illustration on the SpotMe Boost Send screen.
We made a few Improvements to the homescreen. See if you can spot them!
Come for the bug fixes, stay for the performance upgrades! This week’s update has a little something for everyone:
-UI tweaks so everything fits better on small devices—because everyone knows the size of your device shouldn’t matter.
-If you use a screen reader, we’ve got you. We made the app easier to navigate while using one.
-Your list of disputes now shows times in your local timezone instead of UTC. Now you can represent your local timezone more than ever, because that’s definitely a thing.
There are no down-days at Chime: only updates! This week, we’ve done a little Spring cleaning to make the app run smoother, look better, and give you what you need to be your best financial self. While you might not see these bug fixes and performance upgrades, you’ll definitely feel them.
We have some egg-cellent updates this week, so let’s hop to it! Along with a few minor performance improvements and bug fixes, this version will also include:
- Cool new animations to our input fields. Have your own egg hunt figuring out which ones!
- An update to the standard error dialog color, making it friendlier (no, it’s not pastel).
- New “unavailable error” dialog in View Temporary Card screen. Sorry, ran out of holiday easter-eggs for this one. Oh wait.
Ever hear the term “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Us either. That’s why we’re always looking for new ways to keep making the app better and to keep you lovin’ Chime! This week’s update includes a smoother animation while the home screen is loading, among others.
It's chime for another update. We're bank with more minor performance improvements and bug fixes.
Just some new layers of paint over our old layers of paint. Gotta freshen up the app and sweep away some cobwebs, you know.
Have you ever sent a Pay Friends transfer, and then realized “Oh, I wished I’d sent them WAY MORE MONEY because my balance is actually LARGER than I thought!” ...No? More likely it happens the other way? ...Oh, well, either way, you can now see your spending account balance at the top of the screen while you’re filling in those Pay/Request Friend details.
Hey we're very excited to talk about the new things in this update! Because we're nerds!
∙ A new, more detailed SpotMe Limit screen, to help better manage your limit!
∙ You can now send checks to P.O. boxes all you want! I mean, as much as you... want to mail money out of your account, anyway!
∙ Made some screens scrollable, so that you can see all the content on a small phone!
∙ Fixing missing emoji on some phones when you receive a Pay Friends payment! Yes I know, it was very urgent!!
Tiny little bits of polish and improvements in this update, such as adjusting the zip code field on the Mail A Check screen so that it doesn't blast error messages at you while you're still typing. "Mail a check?" Yeah, did you know you can do that through the Move Money tab? "What's a zip code?" Uh... okay, maybe that's more help than we can provide here.
We made some invisible changes to how you navigate in the app. You can't see it, but you'll feel it.
We made some invisible changes to how you navigate in the app. You can't see it, but you'll feel it.
We did some tinkering under the hood to help your experience sail a bit smoother. Now you can sit back and listen to the peaceful sound of waves or the ping of your balance notifications, if you're into that.
It's nerve-wracking when a connection hiccup causes exclamation marks to pop up all over your bank account. In this update, we've made a concerted effort to reduce the chances of you seeing yellow warning signs in the app, for better peace of mind.
Not that we're saying our app crashes very often at all, but we reduced its chances of crashing even further. Now we're gonna go crash on the couch.
We're working on making the app more stable and useful in ways that are hard to describe. Instead, I will describe to you the scent of hot, savory chicken soup as you curl your toes in soft, fuzzy socks while the faint sound of rain and/or snow whispers against a window. Please enjoy.
It's our second to last update of the year before we're off to enjoy the festivities - let's make it a jolly good one!
• We've upgraded the way you link an external bank account, like Chase or Wells Fargo!
• We cut down the loading time on embedded webviews, such as the Terms & Conditions screens. You shouldn't have to spend all that time waiting to scroll through legalese!
In this update, we learned to pat our heads and rub our bellies at the same time! What does that mean for you? A faster and smoother home screen loading experience, so you can more easily show off your bank's cool slick mobile app to someone else! Or, you know, check your balances, that's important too.
A haiku for you:
In this update we
Squashed bugs and improved the app
Frog sounds, autumn rain.
We're working on making your home screen faster and more reliable! Think of it as upgrading the plumbing and air ducts inside your walls. You can't see it, but you'll appreciate it when that cold snap hits and you're sitting at home warm and toasty with a mug of hot apple cider and a snug cat/dog/axolotl on your lap... mmmmm.

Happy Halloween! If you're not out trick or treating, you can have fun reading up on our latest release notes. Instead of leaving you with some tricks, we're leaving a few treats in the form of bug fixes.
Did you know you can add cash to your Chime debit card at places like Walgreens and CVS? We've revamped the cash deposit map to bring you a much smoother and shinier in-app experience. Tap on "Deposit cash" in the Move Money tab to see locations near you!

You thought we were going to say "minor performance improvements and bug fixes", but NOPE! We've got... um... bug fixes. And... improvements. To performance. It's worth it, we promise!

When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore
When the check hits your bank and puts gas in your tank, that's a Chime
...What? "Chime" doesn't rhyme with "amore"? It does in our hearts... Anyway, we made the app look just a tiny bit cooler in this update. You might not notice 'cause of that moon in your eye. Don't worry about it.

Dear screen reader users: We are still thinking of you! In this release we've improved our buttons a bit more so that VoiceOver will tell you whether a button is disabled or busy. More improvements to come!
A refreshed and beautiful ATM map awaits you!
∙ More accurate, up-to-date locations!
∙ See a list of locations near you, with detailed info such as hours and cash limits!
∙ 10x faster load and better reliability of data!
We're so excited, it makes us want to drive around just to see all the places we can get cash! Instead of doing that, please just scroll the map around and have yourself a little virtual tour.

We're working on exciting new features for you, like a glamorous cake being constructed behind the scenes! But you can't peek in the oven yet. That might make the whole soufflé fall. Wait, is that how code works? (...) Our engineers have assured us that's not how code works. Most of the time.

∙ We fixed a bug where sometimes if you got logged out, you would get stuck on the "See ya later!" screen. Please rest assured that we do not intend to wave goodbye to you forever!! Our arms are open and welcoming!
∙ After you have viewed PDFs such as your account statement, we will now clean up the files and give you your precious space back.
∙ Greased the wheels on ChimeBot to make it reload a bit faster and furious-er! Wait no, not furious. As friendly as ever. [^_^]
∙ Look out - we made the row sizes a bit narrower in your friends lists! Don't mis-tap and send money to your dentist instead of your aunt!
∙ Users who are enrolled in Credit Builder can always find the option to activate their new or reissued Credit Builder cards in Settings!
∙ We tried out our app with a screenreader and were appalled! For those of you who use VoiceOver, we're taking steps to make your experience better, starting with better-labeled buttons in this update!
We're thrilled to announce the Chime Savings Account now offers 1.00% Annual Percentage Yield* for your rainy day fund. All the more reason to turn on your Automatic Savings and let the little cash gremlins do the work for you!
(We don't actually employ gremlins. The proper term is "financial micro-operators". Thanks)
*Rate is variable and may change. The rate disclosed is effective as of 6/18/2020. No minimum balance required.

Good:
∙ Crashing on the couch after a hard day's work
∙ Crashing a cool party
Bad:
∙ Crashing your rental scooter
∙ Crashing the Chime app
Well, we can only help with one of those things. But we're doing our best to make it better, promise!
In accordance with the new federal regulations, we've removed the limit for number of transfers from your savings to your spending account. We'll notify you if this changes, but for now there's no chance of your funds getting stuck in your savings when you need it most - even if you've already transferred over 999 times!
(Please don't try to make 999 transfers between your Chime accounts. You could be spending that time on awesome things, like taking surveys or baking muffins or something.)
A bug sneaked into the last app version, causing some of you to get logged out a lot more than usual. This quick update fixes that - sorry for the inconvenience!
We know that access to your government stimulus money is at the top of many of our members' minds. We've expanded our app's mobile check deposit options to give checks from the U.S. Treasury the extra attention and care they need.
What’s up? We fixed some stuff. You probably definitely won’t notice anything, but now you know. Oh... and stay beautiful.
* When opening the ATM map for the first time, it used to flicker uncomfortably. Now you will experience a smooooth glide to your location as if guided by a world-class pilot. Ah... the days when we had those things like “flights” and “vacations”. Close your eyes and imagine.
* ChimeBot learned to display a few new visual elements in its tiny effort to make the world a bit more beautiful.
* For your privacy, we added a blur to the Chime app view when you’re switching between apps. NO PEEKING.
* Shoutout to the lovely member responsible for this version’s update notes. You know who you are. ;-*

* Linking a bank account to Chime is now WAY FASTER! If you had issues before with the connection timing out, please try again!
* In a kind-of-meta move, we improved the appearance of the dialog where we prompt you to review this app. Hopefully its shininess will uh... inspire you a bit extra :)
* Oh and we upgraded the entire underlying framework our app is built on but you don't need to worry about that. Just try to eat well and get some fresh air when you can, because you're important to us!
Hey, we hear you're spending a bit more time at home these days. We wish we could send you a care package, but all we've got is this Chime app update :) Our team is still working nonstop from our bedrooms/bunkers/secret labs to bring you the smoothest, bug-free-est possible experience with your Chime account.
* We heard you guys loud and clear: the account balance amounts on the Home screen were big - maybe TOO big? We tweaked them to be a bit smaller so if anyone is trying to look over your shoulder, they'll have to look a bit closer and maybe squint!!
* For those of you using screenreaders, the slider for adjusting your SpotMe limit used to be impossible to move. That's now fixed, and we'll continue working on improvements to make all parts of our app easy to use for everyone.
* Fixed a bug where sometimes your "Top Friends" in your Pay Friends list wouldn't load, which was totally the opposite of the point of "Top Friends". Rest assured that your friends no longer have to resort to other ways of gaining your favor, like serenading outside your window or giving you half of their twisted-apart Oreo.
* We caught a bunch of other bugs - but not THAT bug. Don't worry about us, take care of yourselves!
In this update, we [nerd voice] upgraded our app's navigation library. [normal voice] What does that mean for you? A buttery-smooth ride as you swipe and tap your way through the app, and fewer crashes or bugs in your teeth... we hope!
Happy February, Chime fam, we're sending some love your way! ...in the form of bug fixes and lines of code. Everyone loves that, right?
* There was a bug that tried to crash the app if it didn't like some of your friends in your contacts list. We kicked that bug out of there because we value every single one of your friends. If you previously had trouble opening the app, please try again!
* Once in a while, newly-enrolled users would get stuck on the success screen and not be able to view their account. That's like us sending you a "Do you like me? Yes/No" note and then gluing our mailbox shut :'( We cleared up that glue so you can get in now.
* We replaced most of our old buttons with some new buttons. They look the same, but taste sweeter. Trust us.
* Please don't attempt to actually taste your Chime app. There's a layer of glass in the way.

Ding dong, let's Chime in the New Year with a new app update!
* We fixed up the Settings screen so that it loads even if it gets a connection error. You gotta load!! Those settings are important!
* For the screens where you update your personal info, updated the layout to be more comfy and handsome. You... you did know you can update your info in the app, right?
* Other bits and bobs to clean up the place, and prepare for bigger and better things to come!
What's this? Things look a little different! We've refreshed our app's colors and fonts to improve accessibility (and bring joy to our designers). Don't worry, all your favorite functionalities are still in the same places! (But not the bugs. Shoo, bugs.)

We're thankful for you, loyal Chime members. Our growing team of engineers have been hard at work improving the app's look, feel, and features.
* We gave ChimeBot a little upgrade 'n polish to ensure it keeps up its quality of service.
* We adjusted the layouts of some screens to give them a bit more breathing room.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates coming soon, and stay toasty
Much like how Chime helps you clean up your finances and make your money work for you, in this update we also cleaned up our own code and made the app work more efficiently. Did that screen load faster or was it your imagination? (Shh, we're not telling...)
Now you can be the first to tell your friends that the Chime app just updated with code cleanup and performance improvements!!! What? They don't care about that? Well, you're still cool in our eyes, amigo.
Ding ding, all aboard the new Chime app release ship! Not you, bugs, you stay there.

Experts recommend having three to six months of expenses in an emergency fund. The best way to do it? Pay yourself first. That means setting aside the money as soon as you receive it. Now Chime gives you the option to automatically transfer 10% of your direct deposits to Savings. Go to: Settings > Automatic Transfers > Save When I Get Paid. When you turn on this feature, we’ll transfer 10% of all direct deposits over $500 to your Savings Account. To stop the automatic transfers, simply turn the setting to OFF at any time.
