• A new way to add money to your Venmo balance! We are rolling out the capability to Add Money instantly using a debit card. Note, you have to have a Venmo Debit Card in order to use it, but have you seen the designs on those things? You're going to want one anyway.

- We have to know you're really you before you can pay for transactions using your Venmo balance. We've added an entry point right in the payment flow to make it super simple for you to complete the process, if you haven't already.
- Crypto Transfers
- For all you crypto lovers (and crypto newbies) - we've added functionality to allow you to transfer crypto to friends and family on Venmo or PayPal, and other wallets and exchanges.

Spring has sprung! Time to de-clutter, dust off, and deep clean. We've been doing the same to make sure Venmo is ready for splitting springtime brunch or buying a new sundress.

Our Payment Splitting feature continues to ramp up. Now you can split up rent with roommates, or the cost of dinner with your pals in just a few taps. Split the bill evenly or create custom split amounts if one of your friends chows down on too many apps at happy hour. Get out there and start splittin' y'all.

Also, if you're a seller on Venmo you'll now be able to separate authentication for your business and personal profiles. That means your personal profile can be pin-protected while you're collecting payments to your business profile.

We were getting a ton of (valid) questions about why there were two different views for transaction history on our profile page, so we consolidated everything into one clean list. Now you can easily view your transactions without pesky clutter. Never fear emoji lovers, if you want to see all the fun stuff you can still click into the transaction to see more! We also are starting to roll out some new visual improvements to our bottom icon bar which should make the app way easier to navigate.

Flowers are in full bloom, birds have decided to come back from their wintry homes, and we're all feeling the Spring Fever. As a result, we added new functionality to our gift-wrap flow, so you can now send delightful animations to anyone in your life, whether or not they have a Venmo account. We also Sparked Joy and cleaned up the Venmo Cards tab so it is much less cluttered. Give them both a spin and then you should head outside and play.

We cleaned up our onboarding flow—so all you first-time users, pound that install button like it's your favorite YouTuber's subscribe button! We're here on the other side waiting to welcome you to the giant world of paying and requesting money from friends, family, and businesses; debit and credit cards galore; and even crypto! Happy Spring! In honor of the season change, we cleaned HOUSE for this release. So if you lift your phone after installing this version, it should be lighter because we removed a lot of dust bunnies and code that we don't need anymore to make way for all that's to come.

We started our week the classic way you start any January: "Hope you had a great break!" and, "Happy New Year!" • Got a link from our Support Team that took you no where in the app? Now it should take you some where, not to some mystical Narnia.

• Fixed a crash on iPad when changing the audience of a new payment, so you can tell the world about that trip to Vegas you just booked with your friends from the couch.

• Not a whole lot of updates this time around, but we wanted to get an important emoji-related bug fix out: If you open up a story from a push notification, you can once again use emoji auto-complete to dazzle your friends using hieroglyphics of the 21st century.

• Our help center needed a bit of sprucing up, so we put a fresh coat of paint on it! Chat live with a support agent or follow up with some new FAQs.
• With March Madness and baseball season almost upon us, we wanted to make sure you knew how to express your joy for these with some new emoji combos. Paying your friend back for a flight down to Spring Training has never been more expressive.
• Tapping on a push notification for a purchase will pull up that sweet receipt to let you split it now.
• We heard that some of you had some crazy stuff after scrolling down many pages into your feed. Now, you should be able to keep your app cruisin' when you're reading through those late night payments.
• We cleaned up a crash that occurred after trying to open up Venmo from another app after logging out. Who logs out of Venmo anyway?
• As always, we busted out the wax and buffed out some rough edges to get more polish on some screens.

Have you heard? Gametime and Munchery now accept Venmo as a payment method! Pay for your purchases in these and other partner apps. Choose who you want to split with, Venmo remembers the price and does the math for you. Use your Venmo balance to pay in apps directly instead of waiting for the money to be transferred to your bank!

• Some of you had some kinks getting your purchases split. We made that better so you can recoup costs on those tickets and cupcakes.
• You invited your friend to Venmo by paying them back for that meal last night. Awesome! Was their email address too long to fit gracefully in the Incomplete payments? Now things should be neat and tidy in there.
• We smoothed out some bumps on the new screens for paying in apps with Venmo.

• We did some enlightening and fixed a typo where we spelled lightning as lightening.
• As always, we busted out our app polish and put a shine on a few screens that began to look a bit dull.

• Your friends were hounding you to pay them back but you insisted it was "because Venmo was crashing" when you searched for them. Well, you have no excuse any more. We fixed that.
• Had trouble uploading your profile photo and changing your name at the same time? No worries, multitasker. We fixed that up as well.
• We heard some of you had issues with our 1Password integration. Fret no more, the bug fixes keep rolling in. Fixed as well!
• Sometimes our friend, the navigation bar, would turn pale after inviting your friend to Venmo via text message. We put some confidence in it, so it should stick around now.
• Trying to be on your toes for paying your friends back with SMS notifications for charge requests? Turning those on seemed to have been on the fritz in the last version, but issues have been ironed out now.
• Sometimes you forget your password, we get that. But crashes on login after resetting your password? Unacceptable. We fixed that too.
• We put a little bit of extra polish on a few screens that had some wrinkles in them as well.

• We cleaned up scrolling in the feed, so your phone won't have to work so hard for you to see those payments for crazy nights that your friends are sharing.
• New emojis in autocomplete! Paying for tacos has never been easier.
