Strava includes both a free version and a subscription version with premium features.
Strava uses HealthKit to export your Strava activities into the Health app and to read heart rate and biometric data.
You can subscribe and pay on the App Store, using your Apple ID. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renew may be turned off after purchase by going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost.

This week we’re bringing you two updates to keep you and your community moving and motivated: Now you can see proof that your training is working every time you open Strava. Performance Predictions show subscribers their estimated finish times and paces for running a 5K, 10K, half and full marathon. Check it out in the You tab under Progress. Now your Instagram followers can tap straight into your activity from your Instagram Story. Head to your latest activity to try it out! Go to You > Activities > Share icon and swipe to the image with “Paste link sticker here.

This week we’re bringing three updates to keep you moving and motivated. Your thumb is going to love this first one. We’ve added filters and keyword search to Saved Routes so subscribers can easily find exactly the route they’re looking for in their backlog of adventures. Visit the Maps tab and tap the bookmark icon in the search bar to try it out. Our second update makes it even easier to celebrate your hard work. Tap into any activity to see your redesigned Activity Details to see interactive map and achievement highlights. Our third update lets you share Sticker Stats – customizable stickers that display all the public stats from your activities – straight to IG. Try it now! Go to You > Activities and tap that share icon to show off your stats in seconds.
We've launched a new machine learning system to better prevent activities recorded in vehicles from making it to the run and ride leaderboards. This is part of our ongoing effort to ensure leaderboards stay accurate and reflect true performances.
Seize the season with new map layers! New in the Maps tab for subscribers, Avalanche Gradient, Aspect, and Gradient layers help you plan one last winter send in the backcountry. This feature is rolling out slowly, so if you don’t see it yet, sit tight—it’s on its way.

Suggested Goals: Stay motivated on your fitness journey with suggested goals. Based on your recent workouts, we recommend a personalized weekly goal. Most subscribers who set a goal on Strava achieve it - so accept your suggested goal to get a fresh start to the week ahead.

Say goodbye to “Morning Run” with Quick Edit, the customization feature you never knew you needed. Quick Edit takes you directly to your last activity uploaded from a device so you can title it, add a description or photos, and adjust what details you share. Activities with titles get 3.5x as many kudos, and with Quick Edit you can get the kudos you deserve.

Now you can hide the start time of individual activities right when you upload. just go to Hidden Details in Edit Activity after you upload and choose “Start Time” so you can get the kudos you deserve without revealing what time you hit “record”.

This week we're introducing two updates to keep you moving and motivated! First, calling all over-achievers: you can now set Goals right on your activity page and track progress against your Goals every time you upload. Over half of athletes who set a Goal on Strava achieve it, so get out of your comfort zone - and get comfortable there - with a new Goal. Second, we're introducing comment controls on posts. Now when you create a post, you will see a box in the left hand corner to allow or turn off comments. The box will be checked to allow comments by default, but you can uncheck and disable comments for a post at any time.

This week, we’re adding to your Apple Watch experience:
- Swimmers will see "Auto Sets" in Strava when recording workouts on Apple's Workout app and importing them through the Strava Health sync.
- Workouts with manual laps (other than swims) will now have improved lap time calculations, including moving and elapsed time.
With this release, we deployed a new process for generating elevation data. Now your activities with bridges, tunnels, underpasses, and those near cliffs or buildings will show more accurate elevation.

Hi there! This week, we’re rolling out Workout Analysis for all activity types. Summit athletes will now get a detailed review of their workout performance whether they are cycling, swimming, or surfing. We’ve also added the ability to remove a follower of yours. With this release, we’re adding power charts to the activity analysis page for your rides, runs, rows, ebike rides, and virtual rides & runs. This new graph will show for activities recorded with a device that provides power (or else, you’ll get the default estimated power zones).
