Don't you get so excited every single time you see that there is a new update for your Hopper app? Doesn't it just feel like there's a team of tiny Engineers working inside your phone to keep the app with the cute bunnies working so fast and so smooth? We're literally all doing this for you, specifically. Keeping it fresh, keeping it fun. You might not notice this update, because it's all bug fixes, but that's where the magic lies. It's easier to describe engineering as "magic" rather than "coding." Well, not easier, but like, definitely more fun.

Specific Hotel Watches: Got the perfect hotel in mind for your next trip? Now you can set a watch for the specific hotel you want to book with instead of setting a watch for the entire destination city. Yes, specificity! Yes, setting watches!
One-stop watch screen: We have added a toggle, friends. You can now see your flight and hotels watches in the same watch tab. Just switch back and forth easily using the new toggle. We love a toggle. Talk about organization. Talk about a fun word to say (toggle). Yes, efficiency! Yes, toggles!

Release time! It’s a new release time. Let's do this!

- Travel! Deal! Tuesday! The Tuesday after Cyber Monday is when you can expect awesome deals on flights, and we want to make sure you’re the first to know. We’re getting everything geared up in-app so that when the day comes, you get all the deals notifications and are able to discover your next dream trip.
- Bugs squished: some people were having issues with entering credit cards, rendering them (of course) unable to purchase a flight. If there’s one thing we love, it’s facilitating your ability to purchase great flights, so of course, this issue has been rectified.

Guess what we’ve done for you?
We added TripAdvisor reviews for all hotels. TripAdvisor is one of the most trusted websites for travel reviews, and we’re so excited to be able to offer reviews in the app for you to read in real time while booking your trip accommodations.

What else?
Smoothing, sleeking, getting rid of glitches and bugs. You know, the regular.

Give us 5 stars if you love TripAdvisor. Give us 5 stars if you love Hopper. And give us 5 stars if you feel neutrally or negatively. Just try it. What's new this week? Nothing much that you're going to notice. Some bug crushing here, some sleek transitions there, some smoothing and polishing everywhere. All to quietly make your experience with Hopper extremely on point. That's the goal, anyway.

- Star ratings: 5-star style? 3-star savings? We got you covered. With this new release, our hotels are categorized based on their star-rating so you can easily choose the level of luxury you’re looking for in your upcoming trip.
- Bugs! We squished and squashed them. Hopefully you didn’t even notice.

Let's talk improvements:

- A split! Some users were getting turned around in our search flow, lost on the hotels page when they wanted a flight, and vice versa. Now we have fully split the hotels and flight search screen to make sure you can get to the information you need, quickly.

- You can now see hotel reviews in the app as carrots. 5 carrots = the best. 1 carrot = the worst. (Do you get it though? It's cause our logo is a bunny, and bunnies are often associated with loving carrots. It's cute and hilarious).

- You can watch videos from the Discovery feed now! How about that?

- Some of you mentioned that you couldn't go back to the previous screen from the Trip Summary page. That definitely sucks, so we fixed it!

- After pressing the Contact Support button, some people's apps were just straight up crashing. Not! Cool! We weren't trying to subliminally tell you to not contact Support, we swear. Just a bug, that has now been fixed.

Meet the Fair Bear! Now when you’re booking a flight on Hopper, you’ll see the Fair Bear in the flight details. Fair Bear will give you an overview of all the important stuff in the fine print. He’ll let you know about policies and fees related to cancellations, changes, baggage, and seat selection.

Filters….finally! Until now, Hopper has been providing guidance on how to score the cheapest deal. With this release, Hopper can now predict the best times to buy based on your personal preferences, like flying nonstop, and alerts you to only flight options you care about.

Along with the usual bug fixes and performance improvements, the bunny now points out when particular flights are a bit inconvenient due to really long layovers, next day arrivals, airport changes and more.

Our team is currently hard at work on an exciting new feature that will allow you to see your watch notifications in the app, as well as be notified of great deals based on your home airport and destination preferences...Sit tight!

You asked for it. Hopper answered. One-way trips have arrived!

The bunny now predicts flight prices, provides price notifications, and offers expert tips for all of your one-way trips.

(Thanks for giving us an earful of good advice! Some other fixes we addressed: Some of you were having trouble finding your watched trips, so now we land you directly on your watch list when you open the app. Plus we updated the look and feel of the When to Fly calendar to make it a little bit easier to use.)

In this version, we disabled the shake-n-bug reporting feature, which was kind of getting in the way. You can of course still e-mail us at info@hopper.com with your comments and bug reports. A follow up to the big booking release! Includes a new confirmation screen to make reviewing your trip details a breeze before before you book. Plus, some improvements to recovering passwords, account verification, and a bunch of bug fixes & tweaks.

You can now book flights directly with Hopper! Booking flights just got stupid easy. Tap to select your flights, tap to add travelers, tap to pay, and you're done! You'll be on your way in under a minute.

Now you can create a Hopper account to securely store all your passenger and payment info. You won’t have to re-enter your information every time you book a flight, so next time you'll check out even faster!
