We're running a split test where 50% of our free users will see a bank connect modal during onboarding, offering an opportunity to upgrade. Additionally, toggling "Remind Me" for due dates now displays an upgrade modal for free users.

We've resolved an issue where allocated transactions disappeared after updating the schedule for a budget item. The chevron buttons on Insights are now more responsive to taps. We're excited to test a premium tracking feature that suggests where to allocate a transaction based on previous behavior, with half of our users getting access. Additionally, font sizing will no longer scale within the app, and we've updated the purchase page for one of our tests to clearly display our terms and conditions. We've also fixed a problem with our Braze ads that was causing crashes and displaying enlarged or white images for some users.

We’ve got some great news: we added a little guidance for paying off all the debts in your budget! Using some behind-the-scenes tech sorcery, we can now tell you exactly how much you’ll need to pay towards each debt to hit your debt free date on time. EveryDollar prioritizes debts based on the debt snowball method: make minimum payments on all but the smallest debt, then knock them out from smallest to largest.

Hey budgeters! If you’ve connected your budget to the Debt Snowball Tool, we’ve got good news: Any debts you’ve paid off will now be hidden in a collapsible section. But they’re still there—so you can see all the debts you’ve knocked out alongside the ones you’re still paying off. You’re automatically opted in, so all you have to do is log in and check out the new layout!

The best way to become debt-free has come to EveryDollar! Your budget now works with the debt snowball tool and includes guidance on prioritizing and paying off debts. Here’s what you’ll see:
- Debts are organized from smallest to largest (free and premium)
- Balance, interest rate and payment information appear in each item (premium only)
- Debt-free date or extra payments can now be adjusted in EveryDollar (premium web only)
- Recommendations will appear based on your debt snowball (premium only)

This update includes an option to allow your paycheck plan to interact with the remaining amounts in your budget. By default, the remaining amount for any budget item will not be impacted by the dates you set up in your paycheck plan. But if you turn on the “Safe to Spend” feature, the remaining amount in your budget items will change based on the dates you’ve set. Go to Profile, then Settings, and toggle on “Safe to Spend.”

Four words sum up this release: more speed, less bugs. Seriously. We made lots of updates to paycheck planning. Now you can roll over your paycheck plan from month to month without having to set the dates again. You can also set up paycheck planning for any item when you click into it on the budget screen. AND funds are now more accurate—money won't show up as saved until the date you select in your paycheck plan. We also squashed a nasty bug that put two budgets into one month. You're welcome.

Sometimes we make updates and think to ourselves, “We had to take care of
those little, annoying things this go around.” This is one of those releases. We got
rid of:
- A message that said “Not Connected to the Internet” on certain Wi-Fi
networks
- An error message when clicking “Make This a Fund”
- A bug that crashed the app when a bank connection error occurred
- A glitch that asked premium users to upgrade again and hid their connected
banks

We've made some updates to our bank connection service for Plus users.

EveryDollar Plus users can now connect and manage bank accounts from within the app. We’ve also added the ability for you to upgrade to EveryDollar Plus using In-App Purchase.

EveryDollar Plus users can now:
** Check account balances for connected financial accounts
** Request a phone call to speak with our amazing support team

This update brings your budget even more awesomeness! You'll now see a colorful monthly overview chart that shows you how much you've planned, how much you've spent, and how much you have remaining for the month. Just tap the chart to see the totals for each budget group and swipe left and right to switch between planned, spent, and remaining.

We’ve improved network communication with EveryDollar.com.

• Edit Budget — Users can now edit their budget from the Planned view.
• Refinements — Includes many UI and data-layer refinements to improve the user experience and make the app more robust when network errors occur.

This fixes an error message regarding loading the budget.

Now you can edit your planned budget item amounts and labels. Imagine your electricity bill was $8.39 more than you planned. Just tap the amount and edit it inside the item detail screen. You can also edit the label of the item; here you would tap “Electricity.”

Up until now you’ve had access to which budget items are over or under your plan. But what about the big picture? Are you over or under overall? With the budget summary at the top of the screen, now you’ll know.

The budget summary (at the top of the main view) is also interactive. Swipe it left or right to see your budget amounts toggle between “planned,” “spent,” or “remaining.”

If you have an iPhone 5s or any iPhone 6, you can turn on fingerprint security by going into Settings and turning on "Touch ID” .

There is also an enhanced view of funds and many security and stability improvements.

UPDATE: We've noticed an issue getting an 'Error loading budget' message when you first launch the app after updating. This will clear up by clicking the settings icon in the upper left, then scroll down to log out, then log back in. We apologize for the inconvenience and will work to correct this in our next update.
