Among the many fixes implemented by our bug-exterminating engineers over the last month or so, you’ll notice the following improvements after updating Discord:

- You’ll see better performance when starting a search or collapsing a looong channel topic.

- We fixed an issue preventing users from navigating to the bottom of emoji picker search results.

- Opting out of Activity Sentiment surveys should now actually work. Sorry if we pestered you too much.

- An issue that caused typing indicators for very long usernames to not truncate properly was fixed. You’re welcome, Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarron.

- Video uploads now preserve HDR color details through improved color profile handling rather than sending someone a washed-out video.

- Removed duplicate iOS settings for Krisp Noise Suppression. Now there are only three options: Krisp, Standard and None.

- That one sound that plays when you open or close Activities no longer plays when your device is in silent mode, letting you keep up the facade that you’re “just checking your discord” for a suspiciously-long time.

· We recently upgraded the Sharing experience on iOS, making it more closely resemble the Message Forwarding experience you may be familiar with. Now everything matches!
· By simplifying our Mobile Chat Input codebase on *our* end, the chat bar gained significant performance improvements on *your* end. Honestly, we don’t know who’ll be happier: you, or the Discord engineers that no longer have to try to navigate that sea of tech debt.
· We’ve resolved some WebP playback performance issues on iOS and shipped support for AVIF image formats. AVIF includes support for features like HDR, ICC Color profiles, transparency, and more, so if you’re a digital (or even physical) artist who loves showing off your creations on Discord, you’ll definitely appreciate this one.

You might also notice some improvements and fixes on the iOS app related to animated emojis, pinned messages, picture-in-picture mode, search, and Stage channels. Attention, everyone
- Over the coming weeks, we will be inviting everyone on Discord (yep, even you) to update to a new username format that will be easier to remember and share with friends. Instead of having a discriminator (the #0001 number), usernames will be entirely unique. You can keep your display name as it is today or choose a wild and crazy one to better express yourself. When it’s your turn to update, we’ll let you know.

For our superfans
- A fast follow to the rollout to DMs and servers with less than 200 members, voice messages are now available in servers with more than 200 members, yay! Server admins have the option to disable Voice Messages in their server.
- Our Wumpus, Mallow, and Choco sticker sets will soon be available to everyone.

In other news
- We've cleaned up the way Discord channel and message links appear in chat. This is one of many visual changes we have been rolling out to improve the appearance and experience of Discord.
- Now you see your media uploading the way it will appear once it's sent, with a progress indicator. You also have the ability to cancel each individual media upload without canceling the whole message.

* Server video is here! You can now see each other’s shining faces in a server voice channel. You can video chat with up to 25 friends together. Just join a voice channel, hit the video button, and say hi :)
* Clarification: a previous changelog indicated that you could screen share from iOS. This is not available yet, but is something our team is thinking about! Sorry for the confusion.

* An @everyone “Are you sure?” warning has been added. Followed by a letter sent to your house confirming that you’re sure that you must sign and send back to us before we let you ping.
* Bots can now be added in-app from a link. When adding a bot, click another OAuth2 link inside the app; you won’t get directed to a web browser anymore.

A Quick Note

Last month, in response to COVID-19, we upped the Go Live viewer limit from 10 to 50 people. Many of you have been using Discord to keep in touch and continue your daily lives, and we want to make things a little less stressful for you.
