If you have an HDTV antenna connected to your Roku TV, Roku Search now includes results for free local broadcast TV listings in addition to streaming options. If you own a Roku TV, controlling your TV is even more convenient with new voice controls for switching inputs, tuning to free local broadcast channels and more. Just tap the microphone icon and speak commands such as “tune to NBC” or “switch to HDMI 1” to control your Roku TV with ease.

In addition, our voice search feature for Roku streaming players and Roku TVs now includes natural language understanding to allow you to search for movies, shows, actors or directors, or even launch streaming channels, in a more conversational tone. For example, you can say things like “Show me movies with Tom Hanks,” “Launch Hulu,” or even more detailed searches such as “Show me comedies with Will Ferrell.”

We have now made it easier for you to take advantage of the keyboard on your phone. The Roku mobile app now lets you use autocomplete, copy and paste and use the mobile keyboard to make entering text on your Roku device a simple and fun experience.

This update enables support for Roku TVs. Use all your favorite features of the Roku app directly with your Roku TV!

Roku TV features include:

* Volume up and down, mute, and power off.
* The volume of a Roku TV can be controlled with the physical volume buttons on the mobile device.
* Roku TV inputs (HDMI, AV, etc) that have been set up, and can be accessed though the Home screen.
* A long touch on the “Antenna TV” input will show the list of known channels. Touch a channel to tune.

This update features a number of minor improvements and fixes to the Roku mobile experience, including:
- Updated Device Selection screen with recent and offline devices shows
- My Channels is now a grid. Touch to launch, long press to view details
- Reorganized settings
- New app icon
- a number of other small usability improvements to the remote and Play on Roku

Search* on your iPhone: Enter a movie, show, actor, or director and explore the results. When you settle on something to watch, choose from the available services and jump right into the Channel, ready to watch.

Control any Roku player on your network: Connect to any Roku player on your network to control it, or play photos, music, or video with Play on Roku. Log into your Roku account to browse the channel store or add, remove, and rate channels.
