Imagine you’re at lunch with a MyFitnessPal friend and you both order the special. Or you cook dinner with your partner and you both want to log it. Or your nutritionist asks to review the foods you’ve been eating.

In each of these situations, and many more, MyFitnessPal iMessages make sharing your diary entries a breeze. Best of all, the other person will be able to log the foods you share in seconds.

There are two ways to get started:

1.Open iMessage and select MyFitnessPal from the applications menu.
2.Open your MyFitnessPal diary and either tap “Edit” or tap the three dots that appear below each meal. Select “Share via iMessage.”

It’s officially spring in San Francisco. Here at MyFitnessPal we decided there was no better way to celebrate than with a little spring cleaning in the app. We’ve been busy sweeping away bugs, polishing our performance, and giving our reliability a good dusting.

We’ve made some exciting updates to your favorite MyFitnessPal features:

* You can now filter and sort menus using our Restaurant Logging feature. Filter menus to only show items within a certain calorie range. Premium users can also filter by carbs, fat, and protein. Sort menu items so they appear in a custom order - for example low-to-high carb or high-to-low protein.

* Celebrate your achievements by sharing Progress Photos in your MyFitnessPal newsfeed. Spice up photos with a message or milestone and help inspire others in the MyFitnessPal community.

* Blog posts in the newsfeed have bigger pictures and titles that are easier to read.

* You may have noticed when you synced an exercise from MapMyFitness or UA Record to MyFitnessPal the name was sometimes a little wonky. We fixed that.

* And that’s not all! We’ve also made performance improvements and bug fixes.

These features are rolling out slowly so don’t worry if you don’t see them in the app yet.

We want to make it as easy as possible for our users to reach their health and fitness goals. That’s why we’ve been hard at work since our last release on performance updates and enhancements. We’ve also gotten rid of some pesky bugs that had found their way into the app.

We know it’s important for our users to be able to accurately track progress towards their goals. Sometimes, the first weight you entered into MyFitnessPal no longer makes sense as your Starting Weight. Tada! We’re happy to share that you can now make changes to your Starting Weight. This feature is rolling out slowly, so don’t worry if you don’t see it in the app yet.

Enjoy our new tabs. It’s now easier than ever to see all available tabs and navigate between them. Take a peek at the Nutrition screen to see these changes in action.

Help us make future versions of MyFitnessPal great by joining our beta program. To get started, go to the Help screen in the app and tap Join Our Beta Program.

It’s officially 2016 and New Year’s resolutions are in full swing. We decided that even the MyFitnessPal app could use a few healthy changes this month, so this release is full of bug fixes and performance updates. Say hello to a faster and more reliable MyFitnessPal.

iPad users, get excited! We now support both the split-view and slide over features of iPad Multitasking. Try these features today on iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro.

We’re also happy to report that VoiceOver users are now able to update their weight using our new weight picker.
