WorldApp 2014

The WorldApp is a free application, focused on the World Cup 2014 which aims to connect people around the sport overcoming the barrier of language.

The physical and virtual interaction occurs through the chat (with instant language translation) and GPS.

Through the application you can let you send your geographical position to be located by a friend, even on the move and in places with many people.

In addition, the app provides monitoring of games and news related to the World Cup 2014 in real-time.

Are also published on the app lists of restaurants and bars closest to you.

Functionality:

- Real time information on matches (formations , countdown , game time, goals, cards)

- Information about all the teams and stadiums

- Updated news

- Tables and game points

- chat translated in real time

- Indication of bars and restaurants near you (Brazil)

- Allows users to exchange their position to be found even in crowded places, allowing, for example, to meet a friend at the exit of a stadium

- The news are only in Portuguese.

Minimum System Requirements: Smart phone with GPS and Internet connection.

Remarks:

- For a better experience make sure that the Internet and GPS are active.

- Remember that the GPS needs some seconds to establish a connection with the satellites

- The speed and accuracy of GPS depends on your phone, in any case it is recommended to use it in an open space.

- The system for locating people works as a compass and can be subject to interference from nearby magnetic fields. We recommend that, before using this feature, you calibrate the sensor by making the phone a eight shaped motion.

- Any inaccuracies in localization in the map is due to Google because we are using Google Maps.

- The translation of the chat messages is made via a Google API and occasionally may be imprecise.
