Use your smartphone or tablet as a remote control. Change channels, browse XFINITY On Demand and TV listings. If you’re an X1 customer, you can now bring the power of X1 voice remote to your mobile device.
Key Features:
-Tune to your preferred channels on your TV from the Listings view, and use Filters to narrow down listings by categories such as Sports, Kids, High Definition, Closed Captioning, and more.
-Browse the XFINITY On Demand library featuring thousands of TV shows and movies, and launch your selection onto your TV from the app.
-Use the Search feature to find TV shows, movies, or channels.
-Rename the cable boxes in your home for easier identification.
Features for DVR Customers:
-Launch existing recordings onto your TV right from the app and delete them when you’re finished.
-View scheduled recordings.
Exclusive Features for X1 Customers:
-Say it and see it with the new X1 voice remote feature. Use voice commands to change channels, find shows, get recommendations, launch apps, and more!
-Conveniently change channels on your TV using the channel number keypad.
-Use the directional (up, down, left, right) pad on the app for on-screen navigation, just like you would on your X1 remote.

Now, Comcast Business customers can use the Xfinity TV Remote app to change the channel on multiple devices with one, easy-to-use interface. When you’re in the app, simply tap on the channel you want and select the devices you’d like to tune to that channel.

We've got several bug fixes for you in this release, including one to keep the Favorites filter enabled once you've selected it.
We’ve made several updates to improve accessibility including a change to announce a program’s TV Parental Guidelines rating when available.
This dot release is designed to make the app more tolerant of unexpected data: namely, don't crash if grid listings go missing, and do show recording groups even when they contain empty recordings.
We just released a revamped TV Remote, and now we're back with more.
* Favorite Channels! If you have favorites on X1, you'll see them in the app when you filter TV Listings by Favorites. If you don't have X1, your favorites are shared across mobile devices. Go to Settings > Favorite Channels to choose.
* The return of Kids, Sports, & Movies filters! You can find them - and combine them - with the HD, SAP, and CC in the Filter menu.
* Many bug fixes.
Welcome to the new TV Remote! A lot has changed in five years, so we've taken the opportunity to modernize the services the app depends on and the user interface.
- Browsing On Demand is now more like the X1 set-top box experience -- even if you don't have X1. Check out our new Kids tab!
- DVR management is now built in! If you have DVRs, you can manage your recordings.
- You can still search by program title, but now you can also search for networks, channels, and sports teams.

- Xfinity TV app supports the Motorola Xoom tablet running Android v3.1 and later. Other Honeycomb v3.x tablets with a 1280x800 resolution should work. We will certify the application on additional tablets soon.
- Xfinity TV app may work on other Android devices not listed above but it has not been designed or optimized for them. They are currently unsupported.
- Xfinity TV app currently supports devices that allow more than a 16MB memory limit on applications and will automatically detect the required memory. This includes most devices. However, the AT&T HTC Aria is a notable exception and is not compatible.
