- (JET/UBER) Gig apps jump – food delivery & rideshare apps trended up in June, up +6% YoY after more modest growth in recent months.
- (FLTR) Sportsbook growth at recent highs – Sportsbooks apps are accelerating, with downloads +45% YoY in June – its highest level in the last 12 months.
- (Airlines) Travel slows – travel app downloads slowed, -1% YoY, after improvement in recent months. Airlines led the charge, with AAL / UAL / DAL /JBLU all decelerating on YoY growth in June.
June mobile macro

We use aggregated download data to check on sector-level trends across mobile apps.
Gig apps jump – food delivery & rideshare apps trended up in June, up +6% YoY after more modest growth in recent months. JET / Grubhub jumped in June, up to +24% YoY – likely driven by the Amazon Prime partnership. Uber also improved in June, up to +4% YoY after being negative in May.
Sportsbook growth at recent highs – Sportsbooks apps are accelerating, with downloads +45% YoY in June – its highest level in the last 12 months. In June, the growth was driven by Fanduel – jumping to +61% YoY. DraftKing’s growth remains strong but decelerated from May.
Travel slows – travel app downloads slowed, -1% YoY, after improvement in recent months. Airlines led the charge, with AAL / UAL / DAL /JBLU all decelerating on YoY growth in June.
