While Kalshi is still leading the market in daily active users, it sits below its World Cup high (-10.4%) while DraftKings and FanDuel have moved past their World Cup highs (+8.5% and +66%, respectively) with the kickoff of the NFL season. Compared to the 2025 NFL season kickoff, DraftKings DAU is up 47%, FanDuel’s is down 6%, BetMGM’s is down 9%, Caesars is down 24%, and Kalshi is up 2,500%.
Prediction market mobile apps have grown massively over the past year. Last year at this time prediction market DAUs accounted for only 13.6% of the market and now they account for the majority, at 55.9%.

For the first week of the NFL, market shares of DAU are decently spread out but when it comes to new users, Polymarket has been on a tear, pulling in 1.2 million downloads the week of the NFL kickoff. Kalshi followed it with 879k installs.

Kalshi is seeing more engagement at the start of the NFL season, whereas during the World Cup, DraftKings largely saw more sessions engagement than Kalshi, even with its user disadvantage.

The percentage of DraftKings and FanDuel users who are also using Kalshi continues to grow. About a month ago, only 2.5% of Kalshi users were using 3+ OSB apps in addition to Kalshi. That has moved up to 4.1% today.

Our data indicates people who are likely to use multiple betting apps are likely to be more active on all betting apps. DraftKings users who also use Kalshi average 66% more Sessions per DAU than those users who are not also using Kalshi. The same is true for FanDuel, to the tune of 60%.
