Account Executive

To us, sales isn’t just pitching a vision, closing a deal, then handing them a product; it’s providing an amazing experience centered around helping a prospect analyze our data and evaluate our product.

This is an opportunity to accelerate growth on a team positioned to win in 2019 and beyond. In this role, you will be responsible for generating 650k-750k in ARR per year. Each month, you'll work on 20-25 inbound free signups and demo requests, create 8-10 opportunities from those signups, work an additional 4-6 opportunities created by our BDR team, plus 5-8 opportunities you self source, which will result in 2-4 closed deals. You will take our prospects on a journey from discovering if Apptopia can help them achieve their goals, to assisting them in a proper evaluation of our data and product, to finally, helping them reach their decision and purchase. The first-class experience you provide will meaningfully impact our brand perception and lead us to win in competitive situations.

Your typical day might include:

    • Prospecting - Selling to prospects who signed up for a free account or requested a demo requires a consultative approach, tailoring your strategy to better understand what success looks like, helping a prospect get the most value out of the data and product offering.
    • Cross-team Collaboration - You can expect to strategize daily with the sales team, marketing team, customer success team, and company leadership on creatively closing and accelerating deals.
    • Researching - Most of our prospects have either requested a demo or have signed up for a free account. When working with a new prospect, you’ll take steps like downloading the app, researching audience size, engagement rates, and revenue, all within the Apptopia platform (“eating our own dog food”), so that you can offer tailored, consultative suggestions during your demo.
    • Demoing - A typical first call at Apptopia runs 45 minutes and covers qualification (BANT), identifying both the business problem and determining what success looks like, followed by a demo of the product, and suggesting a plan on how to best evaluate Apptopia during the sales process.
    • Closing - You will solely own helping a prospect buy Apptopia and become a customer, which includes negotiations and providing a seamless transition to the Customer Success Team to ensure a great experience continues after the closed deal.
