Version v.2018.02.12

New feature! Give it up for your sparkly new concert recommendations page, totally personalised to you and your music taste. (“Fiiinally” groans person from back row). It’s chock full of suggested shows, riffing off the artists you’re already tracking and the concert plans of super likeminded users. You’ll find it from the options menu in the top right corner of the app - take it for a spin, discover your next favorite artist and let us know what you think! We’re all ears over at @songkick.

Browsing shows can be like working through a bowl of pistachios. Like, they’re all great, but every now and then you hit the salty mother lode. With that in mind, we’ve added recommended shows to the bottom of every event page, making it easier to surface those hidden concert gems. Suggestions are powered by the plans of likeminded Songkick users, so look out for some familiar faces in the pit.

There are two types of concert buddy. There’s you - the buddy who discovers the show (through Songkick), books the tickets (through Songkick), and generally makes the whole thing look like a piece of cake. Then there’s the buddy who rocks up on the night of the show and asks, in awe, how the heck you managed to get tickets. With this update, we’re restoring the cosmic balance. Head to the menu, tap the new ‘Share this app’ button and drag your concert buddies out of the dark and into the light.

It’s April, somewhere (very far from where we’re sat right now) the lambs are prancing in the fields, and we’d be remiss if we didn’t partake in a little spring cleaning. Today’s update is just that; we’ve donned our rubber gloves, hoovered some cobwebs and squished the bejesus out of some long overdue bugs. So long, old friends.

Lots of fun stuff happening under the hood with this release, but there’s one visible change to shout (whisper,
maybe) home about. We’ve tweaked the way we display line-ups on event pages to follow Google’s material design - so if
that was keeping you up at night, you’ll be catching some serious z’s this evening. As always, hit us up at @songkick

If the app takes you to a show or two, or even if you just .../like/.../love the app, please take a second to rate it and give us your feedback. Every day we read every one. #ratersgonnarate
