Citybus New World First Bus (“NWFB”) App is now available. The enhanced route search function makes it more convenient to search for bus routes and Estimated Time of Arrival (“ETA”).

Key Functions:
* Intelligent Route Search
-Display the fastest, lowest fare and less walking distance bus routes at your selected time of travel
-Provide estimated journey time integrating historical bus journey record and user walking time for your better journey planning
-Octopus fare concession or fare concession are considered when displaying fare

* Next Bus Arrival Time Enquiry
-Provide ETA of the next 3 arrivals within 60 minutes with the actual distance between the current location of the travelling bus and the selected stop

* User Friendly Bookmark Function
- Locations, route and stop, as well as specified origin and destination can be bookmarked to obtain ETA and perform point-to-point search

* Push notification
-With push notification enabled and a bus stop bookmarked, new customer notices and special messages of that route are pushed to the user

*Instant Traffic News
- Display special traffic news provided by Transport Department

*Nearby Bus Routes Search
- Immediately track your real-time location to show all nearby bus routes

*Bus Stop Navigation
- Equipped with smart navigation functions guiding you to the desired bus stop

*Journey Log Tracker
-Remind you to alight in 2 phases (300m/600m). Present the latest 10 alight reminders in a summary

*Q&A*
1. Which Routes are providing Estimated bus Arrival Time?
You can see the list of Route with Next Bus Arrival Time Enquiry Service by clicking the Next bus icon.

2.Why does the estimated arrival time frequently change?
When the bus is in operation, the Next Bus Arrival Time Enquiry System will calculate and update the estimated arrival time based on the real time position of the bus and traffic. Actual arrival time can be affected by traffic conditions.

3.Why there is “Non-real time” and “Distance” remark next to the ETA?
When the bus has not departed from the terminus yet or cannot provide its real-time location, the system will base on bus timetable and historical journey data to estimate the non-real-time arrival time. The Non-real time arrival time icon will be displayed in the app for identification.
When the bus departed from the terminus, Mobile app will display the on route distance between the bus and the bus stop you selected. Passengers may take it as a reference of service.

4.Point-to-Point search: How to calculate the Total travel time?
Total travel time integrating historical bus journey record and user walking time. It is for reference only and may differ from actual conditions depending on traffic conditions.

5.Point-to-Point search: Does the fare include the Octopus fare concession and fare concession?
Yes. Octopus fare concessions or fare concessions are considered when displaying fare search result.

6.Must GPS be turned on to obtain current location and use alight reminder?
You must switch on GPS and keep the app running or in standby mode to obtain current location and use alight reminder.

7.Will the app continue to use GPS information and consume battery life if I do not arrive at the bus stop with alight reminder activated?
No. After activating the journey log tracker, the alight reminder will be automatically suspended if you do not arrive at the concerned bus stop within two hours. You can reactivate the app to continue using this function. If you do not arrive at the concerned bus stop within 24 hours, the alight reminder will be automatically removed.

1. Why is GPS Service always on?
-The App activates GpsService to search for current location based on GPS/A-GPS setting of the phone. This service will be terminated after exiting the app (Press return button on phone in App main menu->Yes).


2. Must GPS be turned on to obtain current location and use alight reminder?
-An approximate location can be obtained by turning on wireless network (A-GPS / Wi-Fi), while switching on GPS can return a more accurate result.


3. How to cancel alight reminders?
-Press the bell once again.


4. What will “Journey Log Tracker” show if no alight reminder is set?.
-Last viewed bus route information will be displayed (still effective after restarting the app). If no route has ever been searched, the App will ask you to input a route number.


5. What does the bus icon in route details refer to?
-If you are on a bus, the bus icon is showing your current location. Otherwise, it represents the bus stop nearest to your current place.


6. Point-to-Point search: A map is shown after searching for origin/destination?
-It allows you to confirm the desired origin/destination on map and adjust when necessary simply by dragging. If you wish to return to the original position after dragging, press the blue icon.


7. What should I do to check or amend origin/destination after confirmation?
-Press the Map icon.
